I have used this app forever and it’s been the most reliable in terms of calculating take home pay be that for contracts and permanent roles. Part of the essential tools on my phone
I have had this app on my phone for so long I can not remember when I installed it. It is not an app you use every day but when you do need it, it is perfect.
All the information I want to see in a simple interface. Very quick an intuitive.

Have used this App for a quite a few years now and find it most useful. Always kept up to date and very stable. When chatting with friends about finance, jobs etc I often use it to show them what they will take home. I think this app has to be one of the most helpful apps I’ve ever downloaded. It’s very accurate and has been particularly useful in carrying out unofficial calculations for colleagues considering partial retirement and reducing their hours. Once they’ve taken the plunge, the calculations have proved to be very accurate. Really useful
I use the app for myself, but also have used it with staff I manage when they are considering changing hours, applying for new roles etc. where they really need to know what they’ll take home not what they earn gross.
Being able to put pensions in is something I’ve struggled to find on other providers. I just want the new tax year updated a bit quicker so I can work our what my take home will be after April!Show lessKitKat6170
Reliable, handy app
There’s no glitz and glamour when it come to this app but if what you are looking for is up to date rates and ease of use, then this is the app for you. I downloaded this app years ago and have never needed to search for another app. It gives me enough options to tailor the calculations to me.
As others have said, a cosmetic refresh would be welcomed. But otherwise highly recommended.Show lessSej144
Full proof
I’ve been using this app for 2 years and after a 1 year break I re-downloaded it from my cloud. Although after going back to the Apple App Store I noticed that this App had new rivalry. I read recently posted reviews etc to see if this fantastic app had been neglected? No chance this has kept with the times and UK government movements and was so happy to re - download because it is perfect.
If you agree a Salary for your new/ dream job then you know what you take home. In my personal opinion I think it needs a re- brand a nice current fresh look to stand out. A new logo and possibly a new colour scheme and I’m sure the developers appreciate this comment and will do that but all given said ..... simple, been here for years and reliable service. Good work developers but please consider a re brand. A nice fresh look would definitely have more users . But it’s free and I understand why that hasn’t been contemplated. Quick way to Check take home income
I’ve used this app the past 5 years, always useful and is updated regularly. Fast and easy to use. Great for gauging real take home pay after taxes and NI leaving no room for guess work. Love this app
I love this app and have used it for many years both for myself and when communicating pay rises. Hoping it gets an iPhoneX update :)
One thing that would be really useful is if the developer could add an on/off option to forget salaries when relaunching the app. Currently it always remembers it between sessions which is often great but sometimes you don’t want the salary to be remembered.Show lessAndi Smith
