Frequent app crashes, doesn't record flight data properly, doesn't sync data between devices, often sends drone upwards beyond control. Most recently app crashing allowing drone to fly in to side of building costing me $200 in parts to fix. Probably not the place to review the drone itself but it has had motors catch fire during flight. All round expensive unreliable fun.

buy the drone and download the app for your self the drone it self is pricey but it is very fun i love it
Works well, drone academy cool but a bit buggy, looking forward to the next release
The addition of the downward facing camera was a nice touch, although flying the drone using it has proved extremely difficult. Ideally I would love to see a split view option, i.e. half the screen is the view from the forward facing camera, the other half is the view from the downward facing camera. A picture-in-picture option would also work well.
AR Drone academy is a nice touch, although it would be nicer If it didn't crash out when viewing the map.
I look forward to seeing what comes out in the next update.

Great app but Needs iPhone 5 screen support!
Great features, easy to use, some suggestions
I've only had the drone for a fortnight but have already been through several versions of the app and firmware. It's good to see a vendor who is so responsive to feedback.
The app itself is easy to use and absolute mode makes flying quite easy.
In the Academy portion of app, I'd like to be able to set the privacy setting for my flights to Private by default. Adding the beginning of each flight's location to the selection pane of the My Flights screen would make good use of the remaining screen space (iPad).

Bricked my drone
I don't usually write reviews but I feel I need to warn people about this, I flew the drone and landed fine before doing the update with no issues at all, then after fully recharging the battery I decided to conduct the update. When I connected the battery all four motors initialized, then I downloaded and applied the updated, after the drone rebooted only three motors initialized with motor emergency displayed in the app. I have retried several times but my drone is bricked. Parrot have asked me to post into them (at my expense) so they can fix, however having now read the parrot forums it seems I'm not alone. My advice is to stay away from this update until they fix this very annoying bug.

Excellent
I almost lost this AR drone 2.0 due to high winds and loss of connection, so I reconnected it and like many other RC helicopters I suspect it had landed upside down or something, so I started to search for it and soon found its autopilot had kicked in and was hovering beside a veranda 5 houses down the street, after it reconnected I started flying it like nothing happened. Another thing I really love are the flips and also the gaming capability, I tested them all and love it, particularly the bits where in the rescue game you start off on the target and go to collect the objectives, which are immersed in a 4D like experience and once done if it asks you to land at base, all you have to do is fly near the target and the front camera automatically switches to the bottom camera and picks up the target with its sensors, at this point the drone automatically positions itself directly above the target and lands.
