Works exactly as expected
I'm not sure why all the negative comments and low stars?
I just came back to foscam from the cheap Chinese cams and I used this app previously and again after reinstalling it I find it easy to use, sound works, it connects straight away either on or off my local network.
Shame it gets such bad reviews as for me it works really well, the actual foscam app made by foscam refuses to work at all for me it won't even add the foscam camera!!

Password
The app is useless because the password field does not allow symbols. I can't even use it to see a camera. Of course for security reasons it makes sense to use lots of combinations including symbols in the passwords.Reza1372

I've given up on it
I reviewed the app a few months ago and gave it a good review because I saw potential. Here we are, quite a long time down the road and the flaws back then are still flaws now. The today screen being gray for the cameras no matter what I do (not an issue until a couple months ago), buzzing when I go into the app even though the sound is off and disabled in the app, unreliable connectability, and the way alerts are setup with Foscam and this app make alerts unreliable too. I dod send issues to Foscam as they request us to do but that was some time ago. I'll stick with Security Spy and Remote Patrol; far superior app combo.Show lessClinton1979

New App loses ground
I was happy with the old app, so I paid for this new version expecting it to be better. Instead, I found 2 problems:
1. It is not as forgiving with camera support. One of my cameras is a Foscam-clone (TenvisJPT3815W) which worked fine using Foscam 8918W setting on the old app. It gets hung on 'querying camera controls' on this new app.
2) if listening to another app's audio, the old app would allow the audio to play, unless you explicitly turned on the camera audio. The new audio always interrupt other audio, even when cameras are muted. This forces me to stop listened, while peeking at a camera, then switch back to the other app and restart my music/audiobook.
The user support for this is poor; yet, they beg you to not write negative reviews.Show lessJohn Q Private

This once good app is now crap - it opens shows vid for 5 seconds and crashes, I see something glad up about an update but why is there no update in the App Store???BartBurn
