Buggy over priced app
I just lost everything i recorded in the app because it crashes when i go to open the recorder. And i can’t use the app at all because the recorder is muting the fx. That alone is the stupidest app design decision, allow the recorder take over the whole app. I can’t back up the files because i have a pc. My only option is to delete the app so i can use it again. Over priced for how unprofessional it is.

Spend a small fortune and get nothing
I purchased AmpliTube Max and Tonex Max for my computer. I bought a Tonex Pedal, iRig, iRig HD USB, Axe I/O, Axe I/O One, and I pre-ordered a Tonex One Pedal. All in, I’ve spent more than $1,200 on equipment and software. On my computer, I have nearly every pedal, amp and cabinet available, so then I moved on to getting my “mobile” rig in order.
I download AmpliTube on my iPad and iPhone, logged into my account, registered every serial number I have into the app, hooked up my iRig, choose a preset, and a window popped up saying I need to spend more money on in-app purchases. I also cant do loops or record more than two tracks without getting the same pop up telling me I need to spend more money. I choose a different cabinet … pop up window asking for more money. I choose a different amp … pop up window asking for more money. I pick a different pedal … pop up window asking for more money.
I wrote the company, and they said (in summary), the iPad and iPhone apps are different, and I have to pay for these items again. I even asked if they could provide me a serial number to unlock the features as a courtesy given how much I’ve spent to unlock them on my computer. They said no.
Despite being the same company, using the same account, and using the same hardware interfaces, they will charge you twice if you want to use your stuff in this app as well.

Expensive for nothing !
Dont buy this app it sound like a crap!!!!
Still the best, AUv3 upgrade would be better though
I purchased AT 12 years ago, I was amazed with it back then, I am still amazed by it now. I use it inside Cubasis3 as IAA, but I wish it could be upgraded to AUv3 because I like to play more than one guitar part in a project, I usually freeze my first recorded GTR track and open another track using AT, but any changes required to the first GTR part would mean closing the second instance of AT, then unfreeze the first track and so on and on……. AUv3 would solve this exhausting process.

Glitchy audio in iPadOS 16
The audio is glitching really bad in iPadOS 16.3 when using the internal speaker output, or using IAA from another internal source. I don’t hear the glitching when in- and outputting through an external audio-interface. Hoping for a fix. Because in the current state I can no linger use Amplitube for re-amping on my iPad. Please fix this guys 🙏🙏🙏

Misleading
I love Amplitube for sound and ease; but here’s the thing - I bought the bundle with Slash. I also have it for my Mac. There is gear not included in the iPad version that you get in the Mac version that you need to buy separate. It goes for all of the packages. It blows my mind. All in should be all in. But the sims sound great so there’s that, I guess. Just know that going in.

Nothing new in 6 years besides iap’s
Pretty much outdated, nothing really new feature wise has been added or improved in half a decade, just more iap’s of new amps that I’ve long stopped investing in since now we have developers who make amp sims that support auv3, which this does not and probably never will. Ik multimedia has no vision for the future as far as this and many of their other apps go, they’re stuck in the past or just aren’t interested in competing with developers who are keeping up with the IPad/IOS platform, if this was 2013 their apps would be relevant, now they’re just relics of the past.

No decent auto wash envelope filter
Of the available pedals, there is only one envelope filter and it is terrible, huge aliasing, it isn’t useful at all. Which makes me nervous about buying more pedals. I love the GUI but the sound is horrid. I hope it improves.
Currently Not Working on IOS 15. Won’t start up 🤬
It won’t start up. Closes down App when starting up. Please fix.
Can’t be taken seriously without AU support
Good sounds, great functionality, but lacks a key feature for modern iOS music making that is unforgivable. It has zero AU support. It has been years and it still isn’t here. Makes saving and recalling iOS DAW sessions super frustrating. Fix that and I would update my rating accordingly.
