  • Worth every penny!

This is hands down one of my favorite weather apps! I deleted weatherbug and intellicast for this. Gives you tons of info. You can customize the screens for size and amount of data windows. All I would add to it is a window for alerts/warnings for my area. And for it to work on the iphone. Between Seasonality Go and Weather Alert USA I am the go to weatherman for my friends!

  • Nice app if it covers your area

The app shows lots of detailed info which is great for weather junkies. I have two complaints, and neither has been addressed in the 1yr+ I've been using it.

    1. It is slow to download new info she you start it. Very slow. So when you want to check the forecast, you'd better be ready to wait a long time staring at stale information while the download spinner spins around, and around...

    2. The bugger problem is the location coverage. There aren't enough stations to provide accurate info in a place like southernmost California. For example, if you need weather for Palomar Mountain, CA you get weather from Ramona. Ramona is in a hot dry valley at 1300ft elevation. Mt. Palomar is over 5000 feet. Completely different weather...over 10 degrees diff in temp is typical. Can be foggy on Palomar and sunny in Ramona. So the forecasts are not useful if you're planning a riding or hiking trip to Palomar. If they'd add more stations (weather underground has several up there) it would be a great app. As it is, it's useful only for some areas. Plan to use a secondary app to supplement Seasonality when it can't give accurate info where you need it.

  • Great Little App

But what could be better DEVELOPERS? I'll tell you what…please developers add text warning and watches from the NWS, and also highlight the counties which are under watches and warnings on either the radar, or a separate map. As far as I can tell those are the only things that are lacking. Oh, and also push notifications, and watch/warning polygons which tell you where the storm is headed. Then it would be the MOST PERFECT app on the app store, and get more than 5 stars from me.

  • Great App

I have never written a review before for any app, so here goes. I first came across as a desktop app for Mac. The iPad version is phenomenal -- informative, educational, and fun to use, whether u are a professional, weather geek, or someone who is just interested in a quick synopsis of the weather that is happening around them.

The particle mode is especially for seeing the big picture wind flows and identifying where systems are when used in conjunction with the satellite and radar modes -- very innovative. Would like to see a surface analysis mode showing weather features like desktop version. Also the ability to display different weather models, GFS, NAM, etc.

Don't know how often the developers roll out bug fixes and updates but I am so far very pleased with this app, and will give 5-stars when surface analysis and more configuration settings are added for being able to forecast using various predictive models.

    Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!

  • Wow.

I confess I haven't used this app much since the gee whiz factor of v1.0, but after firing it up after recent updates, very, very impressed. Stability seems up, and the new particle mode is absolutely brilliant. Only remaining quibble is that historical data before "now" is often lost or degraded, but I guess that's an issue with data providers rather than app.

  • Simply the Best &It Just Got Better!

You can read my first review below. I didn't think Seasonality Go could get any better but it has. The addition of Particle Flow is amazing. Basically, PF shows surface air flow with little individual dots that are colored by their temperature and change over time. Watch particles circle around low pressure like water going down a drain or crash into mountains to beautifully illustrate orographic lift. This is not just an amazing weather app, it is simply one of the most amazing apps in the store. I'm hoping Apple is paying attention because this is a work of art!

I know weather. I worked in the private weather industry for nearly 30 years. I also know Apple having been a developer just as long. You are not going to do better than this app. It's fast, feature packed and delivers data in meaningful useful ways. Some of the features, like customization, are very difficult to do technically, but Gaucho delivers an intuitive easy to use set of tools. You are simply are not going to find another weather app than can give you as much info as Seasonality Go

I worked with the developer of Seasonality Go a few years ago on another project. There isn't a brighter more capable software engineer focused weather anywhere. Yeah, I wished Seasonality Go was cheaper but I also realize the incredible amount of work that goes into an app like this and, frankly, it would be cheap at twice the price.

Good going, guy!! Keep it up!!!

  • Not very useful

The description of this app made it sound like it had a lot of functionality, but unless I'm missing something, it doesn't have much. And if I am missing something, than its not very user friendly. Basically this app is a lot of flash and not a lot of substance. And it is way way OVERPRICED!!
I really wish someone would have written an accurate review before I would have spend $10 on this app.
For the rest of you thinking about this, go purchase "eWeatherHD". It's only $1.99 and it is much more useful than this thing.

  • The weather app I've been looking for.

I wish that the price hadn't scared me off for so long. I've gone through several other weather apps (weather mapper, weather pro, NOAA radar) and now wish I had simply bought this one in the first place (though it would be nice if it were cheaper). The ability to see graphs and radar at the same time is what makes it for me. I can set up my screen so I can take in all the information I care about at one glance, no flipping between screens. I haven't found another app that does that.
My only wish is that there were more map options. Specifically, I would like to see an infrared or visible map for cloud cover and, especially a map that shows current wind speed and direction with arrows or flags
But, despite that, this is the one weather app to rule them all.

  • It ok, but crashes / freezes up; inaccurate info.

It is pretty, displays last 24 hours, ok but beyond that pretty.

My biggest gripe is that it consistently freezes up when you try to add addition screens to the sidebar. So after a month and no update / fix I'm leaving a negative review as it honestly not useful being locked into a single view and being way over priced.

Additionally, I've noticed that it doesnt let you hone in on a specific weather station and downtown vs my area of town can be 10 degrees different.

it also summarizes temperatures as pretty much all cold for me without taking into account location or seasonal trends. so most days whether it's 37d or 65d or 0 degrees it is simply COLD with the ice cube icon unless rain, heavy clouds, or snow is forecast.

Very disappointed , Got ipad app as trial for desktop app. there is no way I'll purchase that.

  • Best weather app yet

This is my most used app on my iPad yet. Absolutely love the fact that I can customize what I want to see. Only one thing I would like to see in a future update.... The ability to play your areas NOAA weather station in the background. Other than that it is an awesome app.
