Finally there is an app with news related to the LGBTQ+ community. Witch since I have found it has aloud me see news story’s about LGBTQ+ and it be positive not negative. In case you were wondering yes I’m bisexual. Ware I work this topic is will not looked at by other workers as ok. So for as much as I would like to be open about it for my sanity I’m unable to. I won’t let my trans son have this on his phone. Yes, there is SO MUCH negative action against LGBTQ+ kids and adults, athletes, authors, artists, everyone. And these things are important if we are going to stand up and help. But there are many good stories out there too. And those NEED to be just as important. Otherwise all the support in the world isn’t going to help if all anyone reads about is the negative. Kids are going to give up if it seems hopeless. I get on here periodically to see what’s going on in the wider world but every time I shut it down after scrolling through a few headlines. i bloody love this app !!! it’s layout is classy and simple but a little flamboyant , the articles are beautifully written , no waffling , minimal ads , beautiful title pictures , and accurate ! i feel so productive and up-to-date using this , i finally have a reliable source to learn about my people’s matters and educate others too. it’s so diverse too , ranging from topics based in america to iran , gay people to trans people , old events to ones that happened days ago, very serious and under-discussed matters to funny stories and experiences. if you’re on the fence , take this as your sign to get it now !! whether you’re LGBTQIA+ , an ally or learning how to be an ally , it has articles for whatever you need. i’m not the slightest bit embarrassed because i’m gushing about this app like it’s my prom date for good reason xxShow lessBoyinaband lover since 100k

I want a settings option with the ability to pre-select a text size that’s suitable for me to read…as was previously made available. But this version does not have that option anymore!!!

Sensationalised and polarised drivel
If GB News or Fox News wrote LGBTQ+ articles, they would read like the articles on this app. I wanted to read about inclusion, power, and positivity, but I was met with sensational stories that used the same aggressive and binary language that, if it was said to a member of the gay community, would ironically be the subject of an article about hate speech.
The issues and subject matter of the content of Pink News is important content that, as a community, we should be engaging with, and being made aware of. But, unfortunately, Pink News is doing it a disservice by the low writing standards that seem to value drama and anger over information.Show lessBigred0818
