Clunky and slow, easily outmatched by any mobile app such as yahoo, CNBC, Google or others. The desktop Factset is functional but the mobile app is a waste of time.

Pointless

So difficult to use. Can’t find watchlists made on the desktop version. Can’t find internal research notes produced by my company. Interface looks like it is from the 90s. If it was easier to use it would have 5 stars as the data is great, if you can find it.

Needs some features

The overall app is good and I use it daily. It would be nice if I could set stock alerts directly rom the app rather than having to do it on the factset system. Even a simply price alert would be great. The charts need a few more features as weñl, particularly when it comes to time frame. It would be better to set for daily, weekly, monthly vs just a 1 year 2 year, etc. Rrgarding portfolios, it appears you cannot rename a portfolio group through the app, that woul dbe a nice feature.

The event listening feature requires you to suspend all other activity on phone or tablet

The event listening feature is really inferior to the Bloomberg app which allows you To continue listening without the app having to occupy your Entire screen. The Bloomberg app allows you to continue listening while your phone is locked. The FactSet app requires you to suspend all other activity on your phone and ensure that it remains unlocked for the duration of the event which is impractical and frustrating.

Good data but VERY slow

The FactSet app has good company financial data but it is very very slow. Much slower than Bloomberg in serving the info for some reason

fail. positive reviews r fake

this app is poorly ported version of desktop. pathetic effort all around. audio in events calendar section flat out does not work. I reached out to mobile product manager at Factset about this and 1 year later it STILL DOES NOT WORK. just a fail around.

Response from developer

Thanks for the valuable feedback, Dofnj. We've shared instructions with you to try the next version of the app in TestFlight. We'll look to ensure whatever isolated issue you are intermittently experiencing with event audio playback doesn't happen as we continue to build out the next iteration. Please reach out to support@factset.com if there is anything else we can help you with.

One Star

The mobile app is drastically less than its computer counterpart. The mobile app seems out of date, neglected in maneuverability in terms of reaching information about companies, and most of all shows significantly less information than when using it on the computer.

It’s like a lite, beta, just-out-of-the-factory FactSet application.

Mostly ok, for what it does.

The app shows me most of what I would need while I’m on the go or out of the office. The UI is dated, and in many cases I’d just as soon use the WSJ’s market overview app. I’d either like to see (1) more customization built into this app, and/or (2) a facelift. Overall, good, but not great.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. If you are interested, please reach out to your account team and acknowledge that you would like to be involved in beta testing our new iOS application over the next few months. We are working on it and would love to have you involved.

Terrible

Your app is terrible compared to your desktop platform and your competitors apps (e.g. Eikon, Bloomberg). Even the Capital IQ app might be better, and that’s saying something.

This desperately needs to be improved.

Highly Recommend

I use the app to stay up to date with news on my commute to work. Easy to use, and pairs great with my workstation. Highly recommend!
