A Truly Fantastic Mega App
This App is not a Mega Flop ... it measures them! Lots of them! Way Cool!
Great Benchmarking
This application works great.
For everyone that's saying that it shows the iPhone 4 as a 3 you should know that the iPhone 4 is technically called : iPhone 3,1

Great app
Good for use to find out if your iPad is global
Wrongly detects phone(4 as 3)
IPhone 4 detect as 3
Linpack - fantastic
I wanted to know how my iPod compared to other devices six as the Samsung galaxy s2 - fantastic app!
Wrongly detects phone
I have an iPhone 4 but it detected it as a 3.
Owners of other phones look on with envy
They can say all they want, but when other phone user's have inefficent OS and hardware setup. It shows. And this is the app that will show them. the 4S and iPad 2 that I have just burn through every phone on the market. Including 1.5GHz ones. This is comparable as they all are currently using more or less the same CPU in each phone. Either an ARM Cortex A9 or a slightly modified one; thus when my 800MHz 4S crushes that 1.5GHz ...phone....yeah. This doesn't stand for everything, but it does mean something.

Works great
And my 4s is a beast!
Platform independent performance rating
A nice and simple (free!) app available on every smartphone I have come across to test computational speed. Thanks!
Nice, but with two caveats...
First, it seems wrong to steal cycles for ads during a benchmark, but it's unclear how much (or even if) this has an effect. Second, the linpack benchmark is meant to be tuned to your system to get the best possible performance, not as a black-box measure. Only the problem size can be adjusted here, but that can have a big effect. For example, on my iPhone 4, by changing the size to 512, I can get an average of 154 MFlops/s.
