Version 18.8 is now crashing on launch. back to the drawing board... I guess, this is the same behavior that was experienced after updating from V 18.4 to V 18.5... Now V 18.8 is afflicted by a similar symptom... Help Devs...
The Daily Caller. Aug 31, 2024 Review...
The Daily Caller app was working fine (more or less,) until installation of V 18.5, now it will NOT open, it crashes on launch. I tried the usual method of uninstalling and reinstalling hoping to fix it that way, but it still crashes upon launch.
I hope that the developer fixes this ASAP. I should have known better than to install any update on a holiday weekend.
An additional note: It would be great if a 'Dark Theme' option were available, not everyone wants to read articles with a blindingly white background. Thanks.

Worst app ever (and I have many)
I want to watch these documentaries. The app is completely disfunctional. Just asks me to sign in over and over and over without letting me watch anything. The website is no better. Finally signed in. Now when I try to start a documentary all I get is “sorry something went wrong”. I want my money back.

The app Crashes constantly now but great news source.
I love the Daily Caller, but the app has been crashing constantly for the last month or two. It is unusable at this point. I can only scroll for about a minute before it crashes and only read a few paragraphs of an article before it will crash.
Messed Up!
I love the content, but the app is completely screwed up. Just very buggy. The back button will not work most of the time. There are ultra annoying, pop-up videos, which are very loud. They override the Apple settings that stop sound from playing automatically. This is a huge problem if you are looking at the app late at night or in a setting where sound may disturb other people. FIX YOUR PROGRAMMING AND STOP THESE ANNOYING ADS FROM PLAYING THIS ULTRA LOUD SOUND AUTOMATICALLY!! I might actually want to see the ads, but I never get to do so, because I have to shut them down so quickly. You and your advertisers are defeating yourselves with your shifty tactics. Use a little common sense! UPDATE (Jan 26, 2024): Still no response from the developer, and still no fix for their buggy app or the pop-ups. It is a shame that they have ruined their app, but it is a nonsensical business strategy that they have alienated customers from their advertisers. DELETING!

Ads take over the app
I deleted the app.
The advertisements take over the entire program and are LOUD. I can’t get through 2 articles without having to terminate the program and restart. Lord help me if I’m in a quiet room and forget the volume on my device is up.

Top third of your screen is blocked by garbage.
Title. You have the site name, the search bar and the options blocking top 1/3 of your viewing screen. Why is this even a thing? Give me an option to hide it or just get rid of it. Either way it blocks the content you are trying to actually see.
App has a lot of issues
Screen goes blank whenever I try to comment or read reviews. Goes blank when I try to sign in. Then when I do sign in it won’t load. Also i paid for the app and it doesn’t recognize me. Very frustrating.
App doesn’t load anymore
I read daily caller for months without any problems. Two days ago I would load it and it would shut down immediately. I tried deleting the app and re-install, but to no avail. Why doesn’t the app no longer work on my iPad.
