Not sure why the bad ratings of this app?
I'm not sure why this app is rated so badly. I've tried many of the iPad video players, including Oplayer and Cinexplayer and this by fat supports the most formats. The interface might not be the cleanest, but I'm yet to try a video that won't play.
Utter rubbish
Thought i would test a couple of wmv files that work fine on computer, the app does nothing but just give black screen and very loud static!! Don't even bother wasting your time to download it.
Doesn't support open with
The player may or may not work, I don't know because I can't even play a downloaded file because yxplayer doesn't support open with.
This is about the sixth app that would be great if Apple would just wise up and let users access at least a documents directory on the file system.

Just doesn't work. Is the worst app I've ever seen. Deleted in 2 minutes
It's no VLC
Video codecs can be a real pain, even on a desktop Mac, so I won't knock yxplayer for less than smooth video. However player controls were spotty, it didn't import every avi file (but doesn't tell you why) and no advanced controls. I hope the make more updates soon. App looks promising but doesn't seem quiet there. For now I will just u a converter.

Work needed...
Great to see an app like this, but plays the movies poorly. Looks as though the FPS are slower than should be, playback is not quite smooth to want to watch on iPad. Will have to stick to apple codec for now.. Next update needs to 'readdress' this issue again.
Simply does NOT work
The paid version won't work either. I only came here to write a review because I just found an app that DOES work: CineXPlayer, and it's FREE.
