Great idea terribly executed.
My job depends on international situational awareness and an up to date understanding of national and international level disasters. This app sends me so many alerts of so many “disasters”, many of them months old, that anything of actual significance gets totally washed out. This is after I upgraded the app and set the notification level to warning only. Maybe if you’re looking for something that covers a specific, hyper local area, there could be some use in it. Otherwise, keep looking. Totally disappointed since I’m also an EMOPs user and that app is great for building regional knowledge and understanding.Show lessJakecwu

Dear friend, alerts on this app are exactly the same as those on EMOPS (the professional version). So, if there is an old alert, it might be because the hazard is ongoing (such as some lasting floods, or volcanos, etc.) We would be happy to help walk you through setting a specific area for and/or select a specific severity to limit or manage your preferred notifications in Disaster Alert. Since you’re also an EMOPS user, you may also like the fact that we’re working on a new version (coming soon) to let you log into EMOPS using this App, and have all of your preferences recognized by the app. Please feel free to contact us info@pdc.org for follow up.Accuracy

Old version was way more easy
This app is ok but the old version wasn't as complicated much cleaner and more user friendly , its like they trying to include too much too many layers and its just muddyTIMMYDISCO
Timely notifications
Before this new version I really liked and relied on Alerts notifications. Now this new app is a day late almost everyday. My area location is in the Pacific and appreciated Tropical Depression and Storm warning notifications.

Updated Version
I don’t like the updated version. I prefer the older version. It was much easier to read and appeared on the screen faster. I have no idea what some the symbols mean, esp the coloured dots. We recently travelled to Japan and I used the old App to navigate around the islands by train. This new app is not clear enough to be able to do that. Please provide the old app as an alternative for those of us that need it. Very disappointed.Show lessGedi & Chris
Disaster Alert
A vision into what’s happening in our world the ring of fire is a lot more active than I ever thought. It gives you information on earthquakes, avalanches, etc. I haven’t found a better app yet.Eagle054
3rd Review - Deleting App because it Doesn’t Work Now
I just posted a few days ago. When I first got this app a couple of years ago, it worked great. Then with each update to “improve” the app, things kept getting worse. The last time I posted that I’d have to delete & reinstall this app because just a day or two after installing, the symbol you tap on to view the disasters would disappear & there was no way to get it back. So I reinstalled it for the 3rd time 2 days ago & the following day, that symbol disappeared again! I’ll never install this one again. A complete waste of my time. I will find a disaster app that will work. My job requires that I stay abreast of worldwide disasters.Show lessGoldenAged123

More buggy, bad UX
The Hazard List button is missing. The hazard list topic titles get cut off and can’t be read; I liked the scrolling bring that back. Weather Layer default-on not good. Doesn’t save User Prefs so has to be reset every time. and I am a paid-up user for years. Keeps getting worse.ColoradoSky
