Reviews of Lexington Herald

  • Broken app

Even though I have an account and active subscription to this newspaper, I cannot access any story on the app. It always tells me I need to login or subscribe, even though it shows one page over that I have already done both of those things.

In addition, the search feature just doesn’t seem to work. I can type in keywords for a specific article, and nothing will come up. I can put in the exact title of the article, and nothing will come up. It’s just ridiculous.

  • Very disappointed. I want the print version viewing option back.

I have been a loyal subscriber for the last 30 years and we
cannot receive a paper delivery due to our distance from Lexington. Hence we rely on the digital version.

With this latest update, we cannot view the print version of the paper online. We have emailed customer support twice and heard from them once with the standard reply that this new version is better. It is not better and we will not renew when our subscription expires later this year. Beyond frustrated and disappointed.

  • The new app is terrible.

I’ve used the app since it first came out years ago, and have always loved it. The latest version that came out May 1, 2024 is terrible beyond belief. I mean, *really* terrible. Unreadable terrible. I loved my digital paper and want it back. If they can’t fix this app by May 6, I will be cancelling the subscription I’ve had for more than 30 years.

    Developer Response

Thank you for the update and apologize for your experience with the app. Please take screen shots or video and email them to mobile-team@mcclatchyinteractive.com to troubleshoot this.
