Nice App
This is a nice synth with a lot of features, and I like that it works with the Synthstation 25.
The best
Got a few great synth apps but have to say this is the best by far. The sound is extremely good, the editing is responsive like analog. Hooked up to the synthstation 25 controller you've got a very powerful tool for Β£75 or so, a bargain.
Need My Money Back or Credit!
I Brought this program thinking it would be an update. I Had Brought The Earlier Ver. and removed it then when i seen this new one i thought it was an update with the MIDI phrase Draped over the front. Everything is the same as the old version, nothing different other then they added MIDI and i got Charged Twice for One Product!!! You Can Not Make Complete Songs in it, it's just a synth...WOW What a P.O.S.! EVERYONE RUN, RUN FAST
Get NANOSTUDIO, MUSIC STUDIO , And BEATMAKER 2 if You Want Too Make GREAT TRACKS , if you want Weak tracks Stick With nLog!!! WOW

Same as NLogSynth
What a rip off! Makes you buy the exact same app to get MIDI support. Other apps give you this feature in an update. FREE For existing users who have already paid for app.
Missing One Key Feature
Unless I'm missing something, you can only import a midi file, choose a synth and play it back, but you can not save the audio of that playback. It NEEDS to be able to do this so that the audio can saved and/or be pasted into another app...
Very good
It's a very good synth. I had the free version first and liked it and decided to get this. The tweakable parameters make this one of the best synths in the app store. However, the midi version only has a max polyphony of 4, while the free version's is higher. This makes playing chords harder when a sound requires unison.

Best app I have ever purchased!
Excellent this app.. Now I am able to perform live with new keytar. I didn't want to buy a keytar cuz expensive..didn't want a synth..but I did want to use my rockband midi controller. Now I have the coolest and cheapest keytar ever! The effects on the app are just what I needed. Money spent well. Do your research first and see if what you want to do is capable. Or get iPod touch with live 6 midi adapter and download this app. Bam! Your done!

Best synth on iPod bar none!
Who'd've thunk that you could have a full featured virtual analog in the palm of ur hand to rival the sounds of the big boys? Not me that's for sure..
..NLog surpassed all my expectations. It sounds great, has a great user interface - no small feat for such a small screen. It also has loads of professional features that no other iOS app can match (I have many of them). My faves include midi n wav export, copy n paste, ability to save and load patches n banks by email (as well as in the app itself), varied filters and unique modulation options.
The modulation is different from your average synth it has 2lfos, each having different targets, which is both a limitation and incentive to imagination x) There are 3 envelopes, filter, amp, and third can be routed to various targets. All in all it's very usable, but could be better.
Things I'd love to see in the future are - lfos that can work in one direction, reverse keyboard tracking (I want my higher notes to be lower in volume), more modulation options, maybe even a mod matrix, and multi-point envelopes.
Even without these this is the mobile synth ever, buy without hesitation!!

Works amazingly!
I bought this app for the SynthStation25 and it works amazingly. Allows me to modify different factory settings and save the modifications. I like the ability to record short clips(30 seconds). I wish it could work on devices without IOS 4+ though so I could put it on my old 1G touch.
Subtractive Synthesis in your pocket!
Why pay for it when there is a free version?
1) You get more sounds - plus 3 User sound banks for storing your own creations
2) You get to edit your sounds - 2 oscillators with 20 waveforms each, FM, Ring Mod and Noise generator, VCF's, VCA's, LFO's and effects
3) You get an arpeggiator
4) You get to record your performance
5) You get to play the sound from an external MIDI keyboard - via Line6 MIDI Mobilizer
6) You get to manipulate sound settings using real knobs - via Line6 MIDI Mobilizer
Why didn't I give it 5 stars?
Whilst it is a lot easier playing the synth via an external keyboard you don't get any visual feedback from the iPhone screen of either the notes being played or the settings of the controls. You can make some extraordinary sounds utilising the XY control but you can't see where you have moved it to, if you are making changes via real knob and MIDI
I've been messing around with synthesisers for 30 years. The sound, power and price of this app, along with a number of others like Bebot, Filtatron, Gyrosynth and NanoStudio, is truly mind blowing.
