  • Poor Support from developer

After paying full price for the unlocked version of the app a few years ago, I am no longer able to access this version, now being required to pay a monthly / annual subscription.
I have tried on numerous occasions to a contact support regarding this issue with no response.
  • Very Good

Does a nice job of providing strategies for fatigue mitigation. PDF on Jeppesen site is very helpful. I like the functionality and interface. My only complaint is it crashes when I attempt to create an account.
  • Bug fix

App crashes on opening after bug fix 1.6.1, app just closes down.
  • Needs some work

I'm a USAF pilot. I love the concept of this app. I think it could go a long way toward improving safety. After just having input a rather long overseas trip, here are some things I wish we're different:
    - allow me to enter the date/time I begin and end the trip right up front. This will eliminate the "ends at home station" button that I had to continually turn off for each new leg.
    - each new leg I enter (after setting the overall begin and end times) should default to a user definable time (i.e. 15 hours after the previous land time). It sucked having to scroll through the dates each time I entered a new leg.
    - the default crew brief time within a trip should be user definable. For example, the only time I'm going to brief 2 hours prior to departure is my first leg out of home station. From then on, we will have a quick crew brief on the bus going from the hotel to the jet. It was a pain to adjust this time down for each leg.
    - your instructions don't describe the difference between doing a two leg trip vs. entering two separate flights on the same day.
    - PLEASE add the ability for me to email the scenario to my crew. The power of this app would come from all of us having the scenario on our personal phones and updating our personal sleep results enroute. It takes too long to enter the entire trip. I'd like to assign the task to one crew member who could then share it with the rest of us.
    - ideally, all our sleep journals would funnel to a central server where the AC could look to see how his crew is doing. In other words, allow me to see updated curves for my entire crew while enroute. This would provide a powerful ORM tool.
    - overall, it's too complicated. The user interface is tedious, and I find that I have to constantly refer to the instructions to remember what different parts of the graph represent.

It's a great first draft and I think the app has tremendous potential for aircrew safety. Please keep the updates coming.

  • Freeze the phone

It freeze the phone when I open the apps
  • Crew alert

I hope this proves to be a useful tool, but at the moment I find it very complicated to use. The tutorial usually explains how to do things, but doesn't really explain what it means; the sleep journal is overly complicated; the main graph page has alot of data crammed into it for the limited screen size of the iphone.

As a pilot I want to be able to simply input duty times, time zone shifts and sleep/wake times to alert me to fatigue. Crew alert sort of does this, but in a overly technical way. It feels as if it is more a tool for the technicians who designed it, rather than those that use it.

  • Excellent App

I had a problem with the new version, I did a re-install and unfortunately lost all the data(6months). Otherwise excellent app, highly recommend, will take a few minutes to learn the powerful software.
  • Good idea but...

Unfortunately this app is very complicated. The user interface is not particularly intuitive and the available guidance "tutorial" is limited. I could find no online video tutorial, which would be helpful given the complicated interface. I imagine future updates will be better, knowing that Jeppesen and Boeing are working on this together. However, the current version is a disappointment - especially given the $20 price tag that hopes to use the data you input for their research. Also, it would be nice for the program to allow the user to specify their own company's rest and duty time limits (for those of us non-airliners operating under part 91). And, an allowance for cabin pressure variations and their effect on fatigue might be a nice addition. (When cabin altitude is 3500' vs 7000' you definitely are less fatigued over the same period of flight time.)

  • Great app, but could be even better

The program is great!! Work very well but it should be compatible with iPad also it would be easier to see the graphics in the big screen.
  • Too pricey, but has potential

Bought this as like all crew I am concerned about fatigue. Found this to be an interesting app to use. A history of data has to be built up before it will start to more accurately indicate possible lows or highs in alertness. It's not particularly accurate. It's prediction of alertness was at odds with my actual alertness ( saying that 90% of the pop. would be moderately alert at a time when I could hardly think with fatigue ). There is a function to tweak the rhythm curves saying whether your a morning or evening person ( on earlies I'm a morning person and on lates I'm an evening person ! Don't quite know how to tell it that.) I'd say it has the potential to be quite a usefull app for rosters that are quite varied or those operators who combine lates and earlies in the same week, or for corporate operators whose work is more varied. One thing is for sure though, unless this app comes down to the price of a cup of coffee, what could be a seriously usefull tool for crews and operators alike, will remain the curious tinker toy for a few.
