Born in Cleveland
Even though I haven’t lived in Cleveland for almost 50 years I enjoy keeping up with the news and the Indians and Browns. What else can go wrong with this website?
I find it extremely challenging trying to negotiate this website. When I post articles the wrong ones show up. The website often freezes. I would like to support something local rather than bash it.Issues
This used to be a great app. This last update has some serious issues. Can no longer see all sports. Have to dive into specific categories- browns, Ohio state, etc. It is also running extremely slow. Takes up to 30 seconds to load articles. Definitely need an update.Weather
Since the update I cannot get an extended weather forecast. Can no longer just view all sports articles
For some reason in the new update I can no longer just choose Sports to see all sports articles. I have to choose each subcategory individually.Poor update
I do not like the update. I can no longer just click on the sports section. I now have to select on each team to read the stories.Proposed changes
Need more good news and stories .highlight more of the good people. Need to cover high school sports more. Need to put all the crime in one section called”crime” so most of us who don’t care or like reading that crap don’t have to sift thru it. Also have a political section which again readers don’t have to view the biased BS for. Either party.Show lessImprovements
Very good local coverage and content. From a technical standpoint, you could improve the app and site by adding scalable font sizes. Some, not all, of the articles are written in a font that is difficult to read on a mobile device and you can’t change the font size nor can you zoom in to read it. That change would really improve the reading experienceShow lessLove it!!
Haven’t lived in the CLE for ten years and I travel. Always have a little piece of home, everywhere I go.Good app, average quality reporting
The app works very reliably from a technical standpoint, but as with most news organizations, the quality of reporting from the Cleveland Plain Dealer has gone way downhill with the advent of the internet age. The site is full of clickbait (sponsored ads that take you on a tailspin journey of crap), shallow reporting, and superficial articles.Show less
