Works better than my laptop app!
I've been using this for months now to play on FIBS and I've been very impressed with this app. I think it is very cleverly written and does everything I need it to. In "expert" mode you can type commands right into the fibs terminal if you want to. I love how well it is integrated into find and gives you a players repot rep. Okay, but awkward
Does the job - its the only FIBS capable iPhone client I've found. Lots of little interface quirks though, and an awkward portrait/landscape flip to access different functions. I'd rather just keep my phone in landscape the whole time like most other games.Stewart Johnson
Need to be able to add numbers for the board points
I purchased Backgammon Online 2 for access to FIBS. However, as there is not an option to add identifying numbers on the board, and I am partially color-blind, I found the interface very minimal. Opponents were not tolerant of my hesitations caused by the lack of identifying numbers. On the plus side, it interacts with iTunes to

This app is very often frustratingly slow, and causes players to become annoyed with other, thinking the people are slow to respond.BGscottie
Great little interface
Love BG online - I've always found it an even better interface than any of the desktop (mac) ones.
Don't even think about playing on iphone unless you're on wi-fi though, or you just irritate people by dropping all the time (which is fair enough!)Fbddee
Cannot set board colors

Great ipad FIBS client except ...
I have had 3 FIBS games get stuck when the client said I must make 2 moves, but there was only 1 to make. In one of those cases it happened when I had born off my last checker and won, but it kept insisting I make another move. Otherwise, it is the iPad FIBS client I've been looking for. FIBS, not Game Center
This is an excellent mobile app for playing FIBS matches. If you want to use Game Center, you're not going to find anyone online. Besides, there are much better Backgammon apps for that--try NJ Backgammon.
The FIBS matches work exactly the same as any FIBS desktop app. It uses the same login, the same dice rolls, and things run at the same speed. The app itself is a bit clunky--the way to move chequers is a bit odd, and you must shake your device to undo--but I think that's expected from any FIBS app.
The only other FIBS client I use is CocoaFIBS. Even though this one is a bit clunky, it's significantly more enjoyable to use. The graphics are better, the bear-off bugs are non-existent, and Backgammon is much better suited to touch screen than a mouse/trackpad.
Even with the issues I have with gameplay, this is the best FIBS client I've found--desktop or mobile. Very worth buying if you're into FIBS, but stay away if you aren't.Show lessMatthew Gruman
