Hate the new look
I almost made this a three star review. I’m still putting 5 stars because I love this game. The UI is better than many other sudoku apps I’ve tried, but I don’t understand why they changed the look of it. It used to be so much classier. The new highlighting looks terrible-it’s too opaque and it’s too hard to see my notes through it.
I can understand changing the font if it’s an accessibility issue for people who can’t see well, but the highlighting makes it harder to see, so I don’t get why it’s there.
I would love for them to give me a button in the options screen to turn these new “features” off if I want to. As it is, I don’t know if I want to keep using the appShow lessOrigamikaren
Change of colors not good
This is a great game but it’s a shame they have changed the colors so it is so much harder to see when you are playing on your phone. A color choice would be greatKiwigalnz
Bad changes!
I’ve been playing sudoku on this app for more than 10 years, and the UI changes made last week are just horrible. The feature that has kept me using this app over all others was the row and column highlighting, and this feature is now so intense that you can’t even read the numbers that you’re putting in! This seems like a petty little thing, but I’m just so disappointed as this was an app that I’ve loved for over a decade and brought me a lot of relaxation, and I feel like I can’t use it anymore. Sudoku
The new fading of the lines being filled bothers my eyes and makes me feel like I must clean my glasses. I’m out.iatmeal
Good game ruined by latest ‘upgrade’
This was one of my favourite games — played daily. Recently (February 2024) they have introduced changes which are simply horrible. For example, selecting a square makes the whole row or column shaded out with poor contrast — a strain on the eyes and difficult to read. Differentiation has been reduced between left blocks of ‘final’ numbers and right blocks of ‘possible’ numbers — again making it visually less helpful.
Please, PLEASE, revert back to the previous excellent version. You don’t need to fix what ain’t broke.Show lesssumarumi

Changed design
I have been playing this app for years every day but hate the new colours that changed overnight.
They are monochromatic and difficult to see the numbers. I won’t use this one again.SjstanS
Sodoku review
This is a new review. First let me say this is the best Sudoku puzzle I have ever had. It was just recently updated and these are my new comments on the puzzle. First let me say I am very disappointed. They took the clock back off. I played the game on my phone while waiting for appointments and whatever and knowing the time while I play is very important. Second, putting the yellow overlay on the crosshair is too strong. It covers up the numbers too much. All it really needed was very very very slightly darker crosshairs than it had before. Also, for the crosshairs, they need to turn on and not be blocked for existing numbers. they should turn on For all shells. Thirdly, the new design on the buttons at the bottom are very nice. Thanks for a great puzzle. Hope we can get these changes. Take care bye-byeShow lessTemporary;-)
Let me tell you what I hate about this app
If you start a puzzle, the timer starts. If you abandon the puzzle, or start over, the timer doesn’t reset. Ever, if you move to another puzzle, the timer doesn’t restart for the previous puzzle - it bothers to remember that for every single puzzle. The only way to reset. The timer is to complete the puzzle so if you share this app with your kid, and they take 45 minutes before they abandon the puzzle when you try the puzzle completely reset the timer starts at 45 minutes. It’s not like we’re competing for prizes or medals. I also hate the new format, the new fonts, the new everything. It’s objectively uglier than it was before. And now, when I finish a puzzle, it doesn’t acknowledge the puzzle is finished. It just asks me if I want to resume the game.Show lessCritical Guy
