As a nursing student this is my favorite anatomy app!! I learned all the muscles and bones before starting my anatomy class and it was so helpful, I felt so smart in class. It’s really fun when using the game feature but the game is easier to use when you’ve memorized first or else it’s frustrating. To memorize names/placements I just used the “disappear” feature to make the selected bones/muscle disappear if I could remember their name. It was kind of like using flash cards in a way (if that makes any sense).
If you click on the “i” icon, it gives you detailed information such as for the muscles origins, insertions, and actions. Especially helpful for brain anatomy, and the main blood vessels. This app is also helpful for basic anatomy such as the organs. I used it all throughout Anatomy I and II. Best app for anatomy in my opinion, and I’ve tried a lot of them!

I have a diploma in A&P but use this to help with pinpointing where a problem may present and clarify if it is muscular or organ related.

Fantastic tool
I have used 3D Bones and Muscles for several years. It is a fantastic tool for anyone but especially for people who weight train, play golf, any sport, massage therapists, physical therapists….anyone who has a need to understand what is happening inside the body or explain it to another person on their care team.
I use it all the time. I am 63 and very active. Aches and pains are inevitable. I use it to understand my own body and show others.
So many uses….don’t question it….just get this app. Very powerful tool.

I appreciate this app as I can show a client the location of a muscle verses ligament verses tendon that maybe impacting their movement. The ability to highlight muscles and tendons is a fantastic feature.
