No app that comes even close
This is the most amazing translation app that I have ever used. It is close to perfect in its ability to pick up and translate in real time.

Just doesn’t work in the real world
I speak English. My wife’s entire family in Brazil only speak Portuguese.
It’s impossible to have real conversations with them using this app.
Dream:
Their Portuguese hits my AirPod as English - doesn’t work
My English is translated into Portuguese and comes out of my phone speaker or another AirPod - doesn’t work
Base case:
We stare at my phone screen as we speak our native language and see the translation in real time on my phone - doesn’t work. Not even close to real time and if there is ANY chatter outside of simply 1–1 convo the entire thing is ruined.
1-5 stars :-(
