No app that comes even close
This is the most amazing translation app that I have ever used. It is close to perfect in its ability to pick up and translate in real time.

Just doesn’t work in the real world
I speak English. My wife’s entire family in Brazil only speak Portuguese.
It’s impossible to have real conversations with them using this app.
Dream:
Their Portuguese hits my AirPod as English - doesn’t work
My English is translated into Portuguese and comes out of my phone speaker or another AirPod - doesn’t work
Base case:
We stare at my phone screen as we speak our native language and see the translation in real time on my phone - doesn’t work. Not even close to real time and if there is ANY chatter outside of simply 1–1 convo the entire thing is ruined.
1-5 stars :-(

Perfect
I needed it for my mother as she doesn’t understand the english church we attend. I was worried about it translating the church vocabulary but it was perfect. Fast, correct, and free it’s everything i could wish for and more. Thank you so much creators of this wonderful app.❤️❤️
Works!
It works when people speak word by word and slow. But, it has difficulties when people speak fast. Nevertheless, it does the job.
Works amazingly
Works amazingly but you do need a newer phone to have over 90% of the translation. It needs a lot of resources if you’re listening to a speech or someone talking continuously. It lags behind if the phone is a bit older and it starts missing sentences…which is to be expected.
It’s perfect for short conversations.

Brilliant
Used it to understand the news and warnings on TV during the recent storm in Valencia. It worked brilliantly.

Didn’t work for Japanese at all
I was a little disappointed with this app. I had high hopes, but when I tried a few scenarios in Japanese it kept returning errors instead of responding to what I was saying. I would have tested other languages, but my main interest is Japanese.
I’ll check back again in the future, but at this stage the app doesn’t feel like it has even reached a true beta in terms of functionality and user interface. There’s potential here, but it needs quite a bit more work before it’s genuinely usable.

Finally one that works
So I can actually set it to listen and translate to my earbuds and with my phone screen closed !! I tested it with the Telemundo Chanel on and it didn’t miss a word and it was slow but I left it on the original speed setting for now .. good job 3PO team !! Thanks
Easy to use, transcribes and translates whole conversation live
Google Translate has a conversation feature, but I struggled to use it, it would often stop recording, and the UI isn’t really designed for a long conversation. This app is perfect in that you press one button, and it listens to all the speakers in a conversation and transcribes and translates as they speak. I used it for a 30 minute conversation with two people and it handled it perfectly.
However, I was caught off guard by the transcript being deleted when I opened the app later. It could be made more clear that this might happen.

The best free Live translation app
As of right now, I could not find any other app that actually translates while still speaking - the delay between speech and translation is minimal such that someone could follow Along pretty well with a conversation as it is ongoing - if the app tries to translate a full sentence and therefore creates a lag, there is an option to immediately translate to catch up. I tried it briefly a few months ago and at least the UI front has improved greatly and is broadly smooth and simple to use. On top of all this, it’s free at the time of this review. I’d highly recommend giving it a go. A great app with an active and responsive developer!

Almost perfect
This thing is amazing. I was using ChatGPT to do something similar but it was pretty buggy and kept repeating sentences in the incoming language. This app is exactly what I need: live translation for conversations, like a real interpreter. It works 90% of the time, although sometimes translates too early and ignores what is being said during the translation. Ideally it would pick up 2 sources of audio from the microphone each airpod, so that it could translate each source individually even when interrupting each other. Amazing job

Amazing. Wanted a real life “babblefish” for iOS and this is as close as it’s gotten so far
I can use this for family gatherings where my wife’s family speak Spanish, or use it for tv shows they are watching in another language. I turned the threshold down to 0.25 seconds to get as “real time” as possible. Very impressive
Greatest translation app on market
This app is being used in our church for translation and it is truly the best option on the market for being able to hear translation without having to look at the phone. The best part is this app is fully free. Excited for the future
