Practically un-usable
I really liked this app when I first downloaded it in November--it's not that any in-app features have changed, but rather the app bombards you with so many pop-ups asking you to upgrade to a paid version of the app. The issue I have is that I already upgraded so that I could read more documents than the daily limit. But if you don't upgrade, every time you switch back to the app from looking at another app, the same 'upgrade now' pop-up comes up which blurs out your screen entirely and then when you X out of it, it closes whatever you're reading and sends you back to the home page. When you click back on your document and press "Resume" to get back to the spot you were at in your reading, it never takes you back to the right spot--it's always something like the 10% done point. This can be very obnoxious if you're reading a big document and it'll be next to impossible to find the right spot. In short, the app is free--on condition of suffering a million pop-ups and not being able to use the app at all.Show lessjanatical
Paid for what?
Why in the heck I have to pay for an app that constantly whines about being upgraded to Pro, another paid option and fills the screens with ads? I hope the developer develops cancer in his testicles. FFS.Wade Hates Stupid Apps
Must pay twice for the same thing?
Sad to know that you took away all the normal features by setting the limit of file conversion per day and force to buy the pro version. It is weird because I already bought it long time ago.
It's not about the 2 more dollars, it's about how could I know, say a year later, you will force me again to buy a kind of "pro version of Flash reader pro"?

Don't Upgrade if you can.
Imagine buying an app and then having the developers stick in ads after the fact. It's very upsetting. 'Upgrading' to the pro version has no prorated discount for all the features that you've already bought. The developers should give all previous buyers of this app when it was paid, and those who bought in-app features a complimentary upgrade. Hey best app ever, try to make it so this app easier to use by making it a two part app that can give you three option -speed reader-speed voice- combination of both
Anothor idea I had is what if you guys made it so each word blinked twice each word with a space inbetween like double reading each word so your brain can gratify you and give you Endorphins so you have better retention its just an ideaShow lessAlpha Kennybody

Love the functionality of this app. Best speed reader out there. Very smooth and truly remarkable for reading a lot of material quickly. So I hate to knock it in a review. BUT, you can’t chose a starting point? You can’t save a bookmark? I mean, thats kind of fundamental guys.
Please, if anything, allow us to save a starting point.
The app can be a little buggy. And due to this, every time I restart the app I lost where I was in the book. Basically I had to “wait" for the flash-reader to “catch up” to where I was. Which is insanely and unnecessarily a waste of time. Isn’t bookmarking a simple necessity of reading…?Show lesssshimosawa
Only pdf speed reader out there
It's great. I'm able to write documents/study guides for class and put it in here by converting them to PDF. I'm able to study more material in a shorter amount of time because of the speed it is displayed at. It's also great to use on ebooks. Just convert your ebook into a PDF and you can read much faster. I honestly do not see a drop off in my retention at all when using this app. Being able to use PDFs as well as websites and other articles really differentiate Flash reader from all the other speed readersShow lessKyleBaltimore920
LIFE SAVER
I personally have never taken the time to rate an app before a so I think that says a lot about this app. I have had to read the scarlet letter the past couple weeks for school and I just couldn't seem to read fast enough to leave time for the rest of my homework. I also take forever because my mind always wanders off thinking about other things and I cannot stay focused. This app not only helps me read in a timely fashion but it helps me retain the information. The time calculation of how much longer it will take me to finish my book is perfect because I can now plan when I want to read and for how long. Even though I wish that I could just take one of. my books from my library I will manage! The pros overly out weigh the cons! Please try this app at lest read a few pages it takes some getting used to but trust me it is worth it!!Show lesskellbell8467
I love this app
BUT I have to give it three stars because this app is great for mainly reading articles. When I import my books, I can't save my spot and have to remind myself to not close the app. Otherwise, I'd i have start from the very beginning, including the publishing info, chapters, title, etc. wish there was an option where I can choose where I want to start reading and save my spot. But for now, I'll continue to copy and paste my books from iBooks so I can remember where I leave off.Show lessPeppercorn73862827
