Premium upgrade is worthwhile

First, a little drawback: ads, which eventually appear at the bottom of the screen of the free version, are so bright as to distract from seeing the time at night.

However, a solution is to upgrade to the premium version with a one-time purchase of $6 (in year 2024), which eliminates the ads. To me, this is a small price to pay for quality software.

This program is very good; it's just the sort of replacement for which I was looking. (After having upgraded my old iPhone to a new model, I then discovered that my old third-party clock application was no longer available.)

By the way, after noticing that this new (to me) "The Clocks" program permits the dimming or brightening of the display, but does so in an uneven fashion, there is a built-in solution . It's to change the setting called "Brightness Control" from "Hardware" to "Software". Then the process of swiping to dim or brighten becomes smooth (rather than jerky).

Thanks for the nice application.

Stupid ads

I hate the ads

Trouble playing own music on app

Please make it possible to select mp3s from our files to set the alarm to. I only bought the app as I thought you could select your own music, but tapping ‘music’ in the alarm setting doesn’t do anything

Response from developer

We apologize for the inconvenience. To use the music alarm feature, you first need to download music from the iPhone's Music app. Music can only be selected if it is already downloaded onto your phone. If you'd like to use your own MP3 files as a music alarm, you'll need to upload the MP3 files to the Apple Music cloud via iTunes, and then download them using the iPhone's Music app. We understand that the process may seem a bit complicated, but this is due to technical limitations of iOS, and we appreciate your understanding. Thank you.

Invaluable

I use this app nearly every day, either on my phone or my tablet. The app is always visible, gives multiple clock-face options as well as analogue or digital versions and can be dimmed or brightened depending on your requirements. Excellent, easy to use and does the job.

Choice

I like the ability to choose an analogue or digital display

Ads keep popping up

Can't see the time because ads keep popping up and overtaking the scree. Don't waste your time installing it!

Simple and Clutter Free

Just perfect.

Ok clock but….

I purchased this app and was quite happy with it until it stopped working. I use it to time classes that I teach and when I went 20 minutes over because it had stopped working without me realizing it I became unhappy with it. so I removed the clock from my phone and then re-entered it. Once that happened, I started getting ads again. So I went to settings and hit restore purchase thinking that would take care of it but instead I got charged yet again for the same app. I had an option to purchase or restore purchase. Either way I paid twice. It happens again. It will stay gone.

Response from developer

We apologize for the inconvenience. Could you please describe the specific issue you are experiencing with "stopped working"? If you could send the details to our customer service email within the app, we will resolve it for you. Additionally, please rest assured that the "restore purchase" feature will never result in duplicate charges. If you have any issues related to this as well, please email us. We will address it promptly. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Simple, Perfect.

Very few things are this good.
I use it nearly daily to set whatever mechanical watch I’m waring that day, I have… a few. It’s an old, more sedate, & purposeful start to the day. Shower, shave, dress, take the watch, check & polish if needed, wind, set, & put it on.
A man is ready to do battle with the day’s challenges.
Like my father… wrist watch;
His father… wrist & pocket watch;
And his father… pocket watch.
It is connection.
