Describing suspects
Is there a reason why you reports never put the suspects color of their skin in the broadcast. Eyewitnesses give details about height weight exact color of clothing and clothing types and see them at close range but you won’t put in the report if it’s a white , black Asian or Hispanic or other in the broadcast. Is it not beneficial and not part of your job to give complete details or is it politically incorrect!

Going out of my way
If you’re like me you have to out of your way to take the time to provide a bad review. Yet here we are. One star for the latest version of this app. First reason is there’s no longer a full screen option. The borders the app creates when playing a video don’t adjust to actual screen size so, at least on an XR or 11, the full video isn’t visible. Second reason is the video can’t be zoomed. That’s a no brainer. The third is there’s no way to cast it to anything. My pref (because I have a couple of them) is my FireTV Stick. Why cast? See reasons 1 and 2, above. Whatever the developers think they gained with the new version they more than lost…including this former audience member.

New version is awful
The abc app was never really good but it was passable until the recent June 2023 update and now it is almost impossible to use. They changed the format so that the user is supposedly tempted into watching the little news video they embed with each article and the page is now so cluttered up with videos and ads that the whole experience has turned to rubbish. It’s impossible to use. Which is a shame since it used to have rather decent local coverage.

I love abc channel 7 in New York my hometown born and rise I’m happy to say I watch the. In the morning afternoon and evening g I love abc brcause they give the news straight and sometimes they have the scoop before others news channel to me they feel like number1 with the news information if you never beware it turn to channel 7 they will give it to you raw no chaser

tvOS app is buggy
I like this app and use it daily to watch the local news. However its bugs are driving me crazy and might make me switch:
- The worst bug is that after about 9 minutes, the stream will stop, cut to commercial, and then come back to a different video. Every single day I have to go back, reselect the video, and scrub to where i left off because it doesn’t correctly resume either.
- This is made worse by the fact that the scrubber is extremely slippery, making it really hard to fast forward to the exact spot you left off
- When you open the app, and ad will play. When you start a video, another ad will play at the as the other ad

Notifications for cats in trees.
While overall channel 7 typically beats the other stations with breaking news, I also get random notifications about non-breaking news. This is even though I’ve only signed up to get breaking news alerts. Why do I get alerts when a Burger King opens early? Why do I get alerts when a cat is in a tree? The amount of alerts they send daily is too much about literally nothing news.

Great App! But....
Absolutely love the new app! It’s beautiful! Works great. Recently though (past day) it won’t open top news; it says that there is no connection, however, when I tap on my news it opens no problem. It’s just top new page that doesn’t open for me. I am connected to WiFi. I have checked all the connections. That is the only problem. Otherwise, super awesome app!!

Great newscast iffy and glitchy app
I enjoy watching eyewitness news but, the app definitely has glitches.
Pictures don’t match stories, ads are obtrusive, and sometimes while scrolling you are brought back to the top. Also while clicking on a story that should have text it disappears. They’re are also multiple spelling and grammatical errors which can be forgiven if the news was just released. They should fine tune the stories once printed.

My favorite TV channel for news
Always keeps me up to date with news, traffic and weather. Special reports when something happens we need to know. I enjoy how everyone interacts and how diversified they are. I love my Eyewitness News🦋💕
Best anchor woman
I met Nevine daliwal from ABC news channel and she treated me so nice ever since we’ve stayed in contact i try my best to help her with stories from the neighborhood of the south bronx i wish there were more anchors like her well anyway her professionalism is well appreciated on how she tells the stories on crime and other issues thank you for being a great channel to watch the news.
