Great app!!!
The digital edition of the daily news is just like reading the print edition-only better. You can flip through the pages just like the print edition. You never have to worry about delivery issues. And you could zoom in and enlarge articles of interest. All this while you still have the hard hitting journalism that the NY Daily News is known for. And the best sports section and TV listings in NY.

It's a rag but I still subscribe - I love my local news and the Daily News has a local flavor. Print is big enough to read and makes picking up the local paper obsolete.Blylock
Works perfectly....
Full view of the paper. And it's the full paper because I compared a few to the print version. I also like the fact that you can go back several days if you need to download an earlier paper. Execution of this app is perfect.Regina40
Almost as good as print
I have been using this app for a little over two weeks and I am very pleased. The price savings over delivery is huge, I get the paper anytime I like and the display is terrific on my iPad mini. There are even two formats to choose from. The only shortcoming is the lack of Sunday supplements.SifuJon
Great app but sometimes not
This is a great app. Love the way it's payed out and you can change view. However at times you have to open and close the app many times to get new edition loaded. Since the last update, it's been working fine. Let's hope it stays that way.Djpete665

I live on west coast and love the style of your articles. Calling an idiot an idiot is refreshing. Only negative person seems to be a journalist slanted on turning isolated incidents into political racist rantings. I agree changes need to be made but negative breeds negative. Can he really be that racist in his writings with such little hope for improved relations? His opinions are interesting and cause people to look inside themselves, but not every person is out to hurt others.Show lessPapa93257
Superior news app
This is a terrific newspaper app. In fact, the best I've ever seen. For a seriously low price compared to the print edition, it allows a very fast download of an exact replica of the print edition. In a minute or less (on wi-if) you have the entire paper. It also has the option of a digitized edition -- but I prefer the "classic" view. The News app was horrible a few years ago when I last looked at it, but they've really got it down.
As to content, you can be your own judge. It is not The NY Times (way less thorough and intellectual and more parochial) but it has better coverage of sports and NYC crime. And, unlike the Post, it's a real newspaper.

This newspaper App suits the iPhone 5 to a tee, easy to read ( including off-line) and it never crashes.Bourb22
What a totally useless app!
It's advertised that you can read off line. You cant! It downloads a heap of garbage on start up every time. Crashed four times in ten minutes. Suggest that the developers take a look at how The Age in Australia do it. The Daily is just a very badly designed PDF reader. No wonder the so called "trial" is not free. They would never get anyone to sign up its just so pathetic.
