Brilliant!!
I was reluctant to try another phonics app after a few disappointing American versions, but I'm glad I did.
This is a super app for learning phonics. After re-recording the letter sounds to British sounds ( 'a' instead of 'ay' for example ) which took about 5 minutes, it's perfect. My daughter gets to learn her phonics alphabet to her mums voice. But even better is the reward sounds which we have personalised to her sister shouting "we'll done" and so on!

Fantastic
I really like that I was able to customise this app and add photos of the alphabet we use for teaching letters. Also that I could record my own voice and that of other family members for the success sounds - our girls' love hearing Grandad saying, "Well done!" etc. Well thought out app. It would be good to set a limit in some way, and see what letters the child is getting right and which ones they still need to work on. Another improvement would be to turn letters on or off so I could gradually add in new letters for a child to learn. But overall - it's fantastic.

Customise to make it great
This app is highly versatile. You do need to put in a bit of work (ie re-record the phonic sounds letter by letter), but once completed, it is great. You can also add additional phonic sounds (eg "sh", "th", "ee", etc) as and when your child is ready. I have a set of phonics cards and have used photos of these to replace one of the alphabet sets provided, too, so that my children see characters they are familiar with.
As a tip, if you are replacing the graphics with your own photos, use one of the extra sets of illustrated alphabets rather than the main capital letters or lower case letters, as although you can re-instate the original sounds, I could not find how to re-instate the original graphics.

Great app
Love this app. It is something I really needed for the kids I work with. Any chance that it could be made to eg click on the letter that ...... Starts with...... You already have some cute pics for each letter just need to put them with a choice of letters.

Seeing as you can record your own sounds for each letter, the comments complaining that it's letters rather than phonics aren't really valid. This is a brilliant app, not only can you record the letter sounds, but the error/success sounds too. My 3 year old son sounds so cute with his 'Uh-oh!' and variations of 'Well done!'. Includes a nice range of illustrated letters, giving you the option to choose which set/s you'd like. I think ones with pictures work best with younger kids. I recorded description to the unusual picture ones to make it more interesting 'Where's the X that looks like a lady with blonde hair?' etc. This is a brilliant app - 5 stars!

Good app, but should have a way of setting how many you need to do in a round. Also a score at end of round would be great.

My kids are 3 & 5 this is an easy and fun way for them to learn they both love it

This app is average. My 2 year old son lost concentration very quickly. I think the child needs to be rewarded when they get the correct answers. Eg stickers.

My almost two year old son loves hearing my voice encouraging him and I love that I can adjust all to lowercase letters and change the voice over to my recorded phonics.
A must have as an additional way to reinforce letter recognition and phonemes for toddlers. Everything from this company has proved valuable.

Very good for letters.
Excellent. Would be nice to have inventive ways of helping kids remember words. Or repeating the letter and showing the letter in large type when correctly selected.
