  • PDF Notes Free <-> PDF Notes

If you have PDF Notes Free then think carefully before buying this version. Transferring your files from one application to the other is very very time consuming. The whole process is very badly executed. In my case the transfer was going to take many hours - and you have to be there clicking buttons the whole time. In the end I did not bother doing it - I have just kept using PDF Noter Free. Given the high cost of this application I am very disappointed.

  • AMAZING PDF READER

I don't typically review apps but this app was worth every penny!

    1. Once the app scans through a PDF, flipping pages is soooooo quick!

    2. Everything is so smooth and I am able to keep all my PDF files very well organized especially with the ability to create categories and even color-code the PDFs.

    3. It is an absolute joy to run this app. And the note-taking capabilities are amazing. This app has made my efficiency go way up!

I highly recommend. Big props to the developers. This APP is a MUST HAVE!!!

  • Really Really Wonderful But...

Help, the duplications in the "No Categories" folder are working me nerves.... I know you can fix this, I have total faith in the makers of such a wonderful product! Now, let's get this party back on track.
  • Great for school!

I use this app for taking notes all the time. I change my professors' PowerPoint notes into PDF files and then open them in this app so I can write notes in class. I also use it to read and mark up journal articles when I am doing research. I love this app! Super easy to use with great features. Definitely recommended!

  • Do not buy it

This is very unreliable software. When uploaded I lost all my hard work files for my thesis. Although bug fixed, on later version , I lost many important files. Better to use kindle or iBook .
    I wish to rate 0 .
  • Saved a million trees with this app

A previous reviewer wrote that if you buy an iPad just to use this app, then you haven't wasted your money. He's absolutely correct. This and Penultimate are the two singe most useful apps if you need to read documents and take notes.

I'm a graduate student in electrical engineering, so I have a ton of journal articles to read each semester. With this app, I can do more than I can with paper. I can make color-coded notes and highlights, then delete them when they're no longer useful. No wasteful printing when I want a clean copy!

With the Drop Box integration, I can access my files anywhere, so I'm not tied to this app or my iPad.

I would also recommend the paid version over the free one if you're going to use this app a lot. I kept hitting the ads by mistake, which broke my train of thought when I was writing.

I did have a problem with the new version: the app wanted to enable location services (why?). Saying yes caused the app to crash. A reinstall (and saying no to location services) fixed the problem. Just to be clear, I still have location services enabled for other apps, just not this one.

Since the problem was easily fixed, I'm still giving this version 5 stars, because this is my favorite app on the iPad.

  • CRASHING

So this version is not loading, it crashes when trying to convert the contents of the old version... Don't want to delete and reinstall, because I want to keep my current contents and notes created within... What can I do???
  • Finally, a solid PDF annotation app!

I've tried them all, and this is the best by far. What makes this app better than all the others is the sheer usability. Nothing clutters the screen, and your highlighter is ready to go as you read. While other PDF readers have been okay, this really captures the basic essentials without bombarding you with options. Fantastic app.

  • Really good, my suggestions

I wish we could vertically scroll through a PDF.

I also find myself, in using other programs like Dropbox, selecting the entire page so that it becomes selected in blue (copy option comes up too) and reading it this way. During night time after I select all and then invert the colors so it's yellow text on dark brown background. These little colors make reading much less harsh. That'd be great if PDF annotate could incorporate color temperature/color display options for ease of reading.

    Also needs
    *nested folders option
    *export folder option

I love this program, which is why I purchased it. I hope my suggestions can be used!

    Thanks
    Alex

  • PDF-Notes

Without a doubt the fastest PDF reader that I have tried. In my work I open full size drawings for construction and previously all other readers were extremely slow. Now I feel like the ipad2 has finally reached its full potential!
