  • Great App...

I have been using the free version of this app for a few months now....I finally decided to purchase the real version for the low cost of $9.99. I use this app in meetings to take notes on my documents which are all PDF...hangups are minimal and I love all of the updates. Taking notes are simple and once you use it a couple times, it is a piece of cake. I love that I can print my notes and no matter where I am my documents are there with my notes even if I don't have wi-fi...awesome app!

  • Great app

I bought this so I could highlight and take notes on PDF files for my grad school class. It is fantastic, does everything I need it to do. It does take a little while to get used to switching between tools, but after reviewing the use manual, I was able to figure it out. Great app. I also like that you can export and print your annotations.

  • Not worth the price

Others applications do much better for the same price!
  • Fabulous apps

Really wonderful, easy to use and helpful for making notes in any PDF file .. Beside the ability to share the annotated
PDF files between your computers by using Dropbox apps. I like it so much, no more printing for many pages of article or online books, while I can read it and make a not and save it in my computers. Thank you

  • Looks good on the surface but ultimately is a let down.

I tried the free version and thought "Great! iBooks with added functionality". But the reality of the app is that it is in my opinion sorely lacking.

I had been using iBooks and liked the bookshelf arrangement where I could see the covers but was disappointed with the lack of annotation and the fact that you couldn't move the PDFs out of iBooks without connecting your iPad to your laptop via iTunes. With this app I could both annotate and email and/or use Dropbox etc to move and back up my files. But that was where the excitement ended.

First at £6.99 it is 2-3 times more expensive than what else is available out there. Secondly it cannot cope very well with bulk imports of PDFs. I have a large selection of books and even though they can be bulk imported, once imported each individual file then needs to be pre-loaded again and this takes a) considerable time and b) the full book cannot be accessed until it has gone through this process (though you can access what has been loaded as the process continues). For myself who likes to, and needs to, have very rapid access to my books and papers etc this renders the app basically unusable. Thirdly, another 'bug' is that I have just noticed that there are gaps in the bookshelf where books should be. On tapping the space I notice that an unloaded book (as in the second point above) is actually present and only shows itself once this space has been tapped. So I have no idea what's missing even until I tap this space. Not very helpful at all.

This could be a great app but isn't. Until these bugs/issues get fixed I am using other (better) products out there. I would really like a refund as it is, for me at least, unusable in its present form.

  • Mr Zhang

It just allows to search single word in the PDF. It cannot work when I search phrase. I hope this problem could be solved in next update.
  • Amazing as usual

I still love this app and am thrilled when I see it's updated. The new version is back to being very snappy once again even onthe new ipad. The new zoom feature is awesome!

Also the other guy must be mistaken because my open in feature is working just fine, there is a limit imposed by apple to number of apps in the open in drop down list perhaps he exceeded it.

    As usual I have recommendations:

Can you make more colors for the bookshelf wood? More like the iBooks color and even like cherrywood?

Can you make it so there's an option for the book icon mode to not have any spaces on it? It seems to be indicative of time since opening but I don't like that look, lol.

Can you also make it an option to simply click on a pre-existing sticky note it automatically changes from pen/highlighter/eraser to sticky note?

I see some of my previous suggestions (typing directly on page, import pictures/shapes, open pptx/docx) are now on your to-do list so that makes me happy!

Thank you guys for making such an awesome app!!!

  • Not smooth on the new iPad

I totally agree with the review , everything is fine on the new iPad except the most critical feature:annotation. The annotation is not as smooth as it was before,it's a small bug but matters a lot.

I have read in your blog and the 250 version is review-pending and retina-supported,hoping this bug is fixed.

  • Does everything I need!

I made the mistake of spending $10 on iAnnotate before finding this app.. This is hands-down the best app out there.. I have a write on PDFs out in the field for my job. The quick zoom, write, then scroll features are the most natural for any PDF editor I've seen. I just wish I would have found this before wasting my money on iAnnotate. Keep up the good work!

  • The best pdf viewer

    Hi there
Great, great. Great app. This version is the best.
Previous version had some issues with 4 stars due to lagging in page scrolling but now it has been smooth and fast like as older versions.
I have downloaded a lot of apps for reading but pdf-notes is the best and more than 5 stars.
    Thanks
