Great content, but really bad functionality stream wise
I love that I can watch a ton of content for free without a cable subscription, I don’t even mind the ads since it is free, but I seriously can’t watch through one episode of Rick and Morty on the marathon stream without the need to kill the app and restart the stream. Not. One. Episode. The stream is consistently buffering and pausing and sometimes I think it’s my WiFi, but when I disconnect and reconnect to the WiFi, the adult swim app just doesn’t load up for a while, meanwhile my wifi is working fine on my other devices. Again, I love the content, but the only word that goes through my mind when struggling to watch one episode on the stream is “pathetic” which is how I describe the quality of the marathon streams on this appShow lessJVGJonny247

Who wants an app to just start playing a random episode the second you open the app? Sometimes I am in a setting were Rick and morty is not appropriate. This design choice makes it annoying to even open the app to check on shows or browse. Additionally, the app does not let you fill in your login data at random times after you click a provider and will just automatically give access to shows. However if you attempt to play anything it will say you must contact a service provider. The issue is solely on the app, as I was never given the option to enter my data. Somehow, after refreshing and much frustration I was able to get it to work on my phone. This glitch occurs across their app on other platforms as well. In the case of my tv and am utterly unable to use the app.

I'll address your first point, yea the UI isn't the greatest. What it plays when you open the app is a marathon at the top of the page but there isn't any audio and as soon as you hit shows the Martin stops. With iOS devices, there is this this called Single Sign On that, when it working properly, allows you to watch shows with your cable provider without needing to constantly enter your credentials. If you are constantly getting an error message when trying to play something, there is likely an issue with your cable provider credentials.It never loads!!
Not a connection problem on my side. Have 600 mbps down and stream EVERYTHING. But the app on both Apple TV and iPhone just spins and spins and spins with its cartoony paint load screen. On the TV it shows the grasshopper start screen but then just the load after that. I’ve completely uninstalled from both and reinstalled, no change. Super aggravating.
EDIT: got my iPhone version to work. Had to uninstall, but did NOT let it use my cable provider settings as prompted. Started it as a pleeb no-cable user instead and then MANUALLY signed it, and it worked. Unfortunately can’t say the same for AppleTV version, where I’m never given the choice.Show lessApplemongrel

Since you guys (or girls) are pretty active with responding to reviews (thank you SO much for being the only ones that are) just had a question on why there isn’t a way to pay for the service like other streaming services without having to pay for a cable provider? I’d gladly pay just to watch a few shows that you guys have exclusively (mostly anime dubs) but I’ve been having issues with my cable provider for a while so I’m kinda stuck. Adult Swim SAVED MY LIFE!!!
Thank you adult swim, on April 12th of 2021 I was KIDNAPPED. As I was leaving a friends hockey match I was drugged and taken along one of the highways heading out of the city when the kidnappers were pulled over for I assume speeding..
I didn’t know what was happening at the time, I was awake but I was tied down and had tape on my mouth. I couldn’t call for help.
The cop gave them a ticket then started to head back to his car WHEN he heard a something in the back of the car..
The [Adult Swim] app sent a notification to my phone.. causing a vibration sound loud enough for the cop to hear.
The cop was able to open the trunk and find me thanks to that app.
To this day I still can’t believe the luck that blessed me that day.

The menu home screen is in portrait. Only the video plays in horizontal view. Make the menu landscape as well and it’ll be 5 stars. You can follow twitch’s implementation of landscape. Or YouTube’s. Came on here to update my review, only to see that my comment has been removed...again? 🤔 Seems a little fishy [Adult Swim].
My previous comments were not out of line, inappropriate, or wrong for that matter so someone behind the scenes is up to something. Is that because you guys offer and out of date application that has horrid features? An application that will randomly crash on you, then force you to re-watch the ads time after time after logging back on? Or is it because your shows sometimes won’t even upload the video, even while on a 5G source?
And no I don’t want to hear a developers response recommending me to HBO max. Both services you guys provide are so poor in quality it’s not worth the time. Just like how I’m wasting my time making another honest review. I would give the app a 0 out of 5 if I could.Show lessLeonardo L.L.

We’re almost into R&M season 5 and season 4 of Rick and Morty hasn’t even been uploaded into the Marathon stream. What gives?

it doesn’t really work without a login
I downloaded this to try and watch jojo’s bizarre adventure without all the crazy censorship that a lot of platforms have. I know toonami has a policy of not censoring stuff so that was exciting at first. So I downloaded the app, not signing in at first, and searched my show. It locked most of the episodes behind a sign in wall. Even when I logged in, i couldn’t watch the episodes. I don’t watch cable tv a lot, so my subscription only has a couple of channels. That’s why I was hoping to not need a sign in. I understand that these services tend to cost money, but it’s misleading to claim you don’t need to sign in, and then deny people what they came for if their tv subscription doesn’t include your program.Show lessKit-Cat😽❤️
