Really enjoy listening NHPR on the radio, now we have an app. Good so farZbet178
Not bad... for free
But I wouldn’t pay for it. Too rudimentary and clunky, and sometimes has serious connection issues regardless if signal strength... WiFi or cellular. But it does the job most of the time, so... 3 stars for operation and one more for price.grumpy-kins
NPR is great; the app needs work
I just started having a problem with the sponsor ad at the beginning of the stream repeating over and over.
If I wasn’t having that problem, I would give this 3 stars. The app takes too long to load. Also, the audio stream is constantly stopping to buffer. Frustrating!SJT 53
App needs work
Hi - I am a sustaining member and I listen constantly but the only time I use the app is during the pledge drive so I can access the pledge-free stream.
The visual is too busy. The articles aren’t easily scanned in the snapshot format. There should be a way to see text headlines without having to scroll both up and down as well as side to side. It’s too hard to figure out how to listen to the live stream. Also, the podcasts aren’t why people are on your app, so they should not be first up.Show lessArmadilloT
Should be better.
The primary function of this app is to stream NHPR to people without an over-the-air signal and it fulfills that poorly. The feed drops frequently, or loops, or just won’t load without first logging out, quitting, or sometimes reinstalling. And this has been true for years. I’m a supporter, but do not feel NHPR has spent the appropriate degree of effort to maintain and improve this important means of accessing their content.Show lessBenjamin_Brecht

Don’t know what ‘s been done but now loads and crashes... this despite deleting and re-installing. Sad as it used to be good.Birdflier

Good app
App works great. I wish it would delay the news update until the stream is ready to play. (I just want to listen to the streaming audio.).
