This latest update has taken away my ability to toggle between colors. I play on iPad and use the option of changing colors when a second finger taps the screen. Now it only changes once in a great while if I jab at the screen repeatedly. After years of being a fan, I am quitting. Sad that this update has taken away a fun activity for me.
I like the improved graphics and speed (and compatibility with future iOS releases). However, the ball release is now a bit sticky if you're near the edge of the iPad, which makes it difficult to throw away unwanted balls, and is deadly when you're playing a fast level.
Also, while the game remembered where I was before the upgrade, it lost the fact that I had 40+ lives and 28 million points - and now from day to day seems to be taking me back to the point where I was before the upgrade, not where I left off the day before.
I love this game, but I keep getting a message that says it will slow down my iPad, because it needs to be updated, also I have had to delete and reload it several times because either the continue button develops issues or it forgets my current progress.
When I play a level called Festival of Jubilee, something happens. When I finished that level, It skips me to stage 10 without passing stage 9.Please make a new version so this problem can be fixed so I can play Fair and Square.
I agree with the other reviewers. I am not happy with paying for a game and still haveto see the ads. I like the game, it plays well but I don't think it is right to have ads on a game that I paid money for. I only purchased this gamebecause I like playing a different luxxor game on my computer.
The first Luxor continues to be among my favorites. This one disappoints me for reasons in addition to those given by others. The "enhanced" graphics distract from, and even interfere with, game play. After shooting, the shooter freezes briefly, interfering with game play. Upon completion of the third level (if i recall) of stage 9, the game skips several levels to the start of stage 10. And, of course, the ads. I've paid for the game, yet i'm ready to give up on it.
I enjoyed this not-for-free game until ads came along with a recent update. If the ads are not removed, I will remove every game from this vendor from all of my devices (including computers). I will not purchase anything from them again. The ads are distracting in their placement and design, in poor taste, and completely ruin the game. My one star rating is a token of what the game could be again without the ads. I wish Apple would refuse to allow ads in purchased apps.
First thing is there needs to be a preview of the next color to come. It's hard to plan ahead if there is not option for this. Next, the ads need to go! I didn't pay $5 for an app to be blasted with ads. Yes, the game does look better and I still find it fun but as of now, will continue to play the original game. This one is not up to par yet. Hoping for updates soon.
The only suggestion I have for the game is to have some help or hints when you get stuck on a level. I am playing adventure, expert level and cannot get passed one of the levels toward the end of the game. I have tried all the tricks I know and even researched other suggestions. This is an addictive game, very simple at first.
Also make a really challenging game of Luxor.
This great app CONSTANTLY freezes if I have to stop playing, there's no way I see to pause the game, so I try to get to the end of a section then exit. When I try to go back to the game and press the "Paused, press to resume," button, the game freezes and I can never get back. I have to delete the entire game, then reinstall. Great pain in the behind, besides which, I lose all scores. >:(
