I played the demo on a greyscale PowerMac. This is like a time machine. But in color.

How do I Change from HD to classic graphics ?
  • Thanks!

Thank you so much for reading my review! It’s hard to find a developer who does read reviews. This series is awesome, and I’ve recommended it to all my friends. There are only two things I would change. One, like this game The first two do not deserve a 17+ age rating. I would recommend changing those to 12+ like this one, as more people would have access to play them. The other thing would be an invisible joystick of sorts. The joystick is a little twitch on these games, though it isn’t AT ALL overbearing. Thanks for reading and I hope you consider my suggestions!

  • ALMOST there

UPDATE TO 5 STARS: Found the Invert toggle (in the app settings panel in iOS’s Setting app - thanks to the dev for his reply below). Very happy now! ORIGINAL COMMENT FOR POSTERITY: This is coming along nicely, Mr. Developer, but there is still one glaring omission. I literally cheered when I saw the update included MFi support (been waiting for this in these iOS Marathon games for literally years now), but my heart SUNK when I realized there seems to be no option for inverted controls. This makes it all but unplayable for those of us who have spent an entire gaming career on flight sticks and inverted controls. Add this one tweak, and this will be nearly perfect. Also, what the heck is that Master Chief button for? I can’t find any explanation in the game as to what it does.

You can invert the Y-axis under the app Settings, and Master Chief mode enables the various cheat options and level selection slider. Be sure to check out the Help screen for more details!
  • Thank You Developer!

Marathon is back and better than ever on iOS! Thank You!
  • Developer is Truly AMAZING!!!!

I can’t thank you guys enough for updating the series. I have been waiting a long time and cannot believe it’s finally here in all its glory! You guys have done a stellar job with all 3 updates and hope that you are able to continue. I tried to donate but apparently the donate button is not working properly? Anyway, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

This issue should be fixed, but if not, send a screenshot to support@marathon-ios.com. We wouldn't want to miss out on those sweet donation bucks!
  • Can’t put my excitement into words!!!

Thank you to the hard working developers who not only made all 3 Marathon games compatible with the latest IOS, but did a complete engine over haul on all 3, now running Aleph 1, the infamous Marathon emulator for Mac and PC. Not only has this made the game a smoother, more enjoyable experience but has added many new features such as Multiplayer!! I can now have LAN parties, on my mobile devices. Again thank you all so much for your efforts, checking the AppStore every few months to check if the game had been updated was so worth it. Keep up the good work guys much love - Ethan

  • Updating to work with iOS 12 is something I would have paid for

This update is tremendous and allows me to enjoy Marathon on the go again with the most up-to-date enhancements.

    Thanks Daniel for the update!

Also there seems to be a bug on the “Tip The Developers” page on each of the three games where the prices disappear before I can even tap them and I’m greeted with a thank you screen. Would love to tip you for all the work you’ve done!

This probably means you purchased one of the enhancements back in version 2, which are now included for free. Thanks for supporting us all those years ago!
  • Please add controller support!

One of my favourite games from the early Mac era. Would be even better with controller support though - please add it in a future update!
  • Aaaaaaaaaa!!

    Been a good long run

Call me anachronistic but I played these on my mac for ever

I was 2 yrs late getting them on my phone but again, with a few glitches these games have made me happy for years

Now on my iPhone 7 w updated iOS, I get to a level up and the game opens without controls to move or shoot

    But still

Thanks to Mr Dan B for making them back in the day, porting them to iOS and just for being
