Weird “color gradient” on left/right?
When watching full screen on iPhone, if the video/film does not go all the way to the edges of the phone, there is an out of focus “color gradient” outside the confines of the film, that seems to be some average of the colors in the film at that moment, and it is SO distracting (imagine like how news sources duplicate and then blur vertical videos that they want to play in a landscape video format) — for an app / site full of filmmakers, this decision feels super antithesis to the work you watch on Vimeo (don’t flame me btw for watching things on my phone, sometimes that what you got). Please please please undo whatever this decision is.

Update Ruined This App
This recent update literally just ruined the app. I cannot search for anything anymore without it saying that there “is no result” or that it’s “unavailable”. Please fix this issue… ): about a week or so I decided to go on vimeo at night before going to bed, after not using the app for awhile just to see what I can come across. I tried researching stuff I liked and I found awesome, informative content! And I thought to myself, “hey I should go on this app more!” But now, I can’t research anything at all. I’m assuming that it’s because of this recent update… It crashed the research system. So please fix it, thank you.

Stole my money
I tried to use Vimeo for live streaming and after putting a week of work into setting it up, I found out I couldn’t set different cameras on different feeds as I needed (something very basic and the “fixes” suggested by them didn’t work). So I had no choice but to change platforms last minute. I then requested a refund for my Vimeo upgrade (AU$1200 - not cheap) and was told it was processed. I never got the money and following them up they only tell me it has been processed, without sending me any confirmation. It was through PayPal and when brought up with them, they simply said Vimeo had said they had processed it so that’s the end of my request. Didn't even check the transaction in their own system to see the money hadn’t been refunded. So I’m left with two companies saying I’ve been paid the money back when I haven’t and nowhere to go! They stole my time and money, gave extremely bad customer service and left me without $1200 that they owe me with nowhere to turn to to challenge it. Thanks for nothing, it really is expensive!!!

Great. But does not allow push notifications.
Is that because I’m using the free version ? If so, let me know that. It just says to torn on notifications in settings. Did that. Get the same message! Please fix this.
app overheats phone
this app has always been terrible compared to the web version but the latest version now overheats and freezes the phone. only reason i use it is because courses insist on using it for whatever reason
Vertical 4K bug
There’s no bug report in the app, so the only way to report a bug is to leave a bad review!
So here it is: when I upload a 4K vertical video, the player only offers to play back in 1080 but it should be 2160 as iPads have written a displays.
Also, some bright spark has decided to do a way with black backgrounds, meaning that videos you made using black masks, for example, circular videos, now look stupid. Just bring back black for goodness sake.
Finally, while you can now zoom in on a horizontal video, played vertically, you can’t pan and scan, meaning that you can only see the central part of the frame and, to make matters worse, there’s a horrible bit of text saying slide up for more information that can’t be got rid of.

Interesting
This app is the most interesting thing in the world I could put music in my video I create on the app and I also could put as many photos inside of a video that I want to create from the app but I think one thing is wrong with the app because I tried to create a video and the video came out with stuttering or slides in my videos that I created because the app has a create your own video but it could be created by the pictures that you already have but I put in my pictures in the video that I wanted to create and it left out my clean video that I wanted because it put colored screens in between the amount of time it takes to see the next photo from inside the video that I already created but it doesn’t always do that but it did a couple times to me. I think it stopped doing that to me now but I’m not sure. I also am using the first paid part for my app right now but I think that it is good. Well peace out. But the time right now is 🕧➕1️⃣4️⃣🔆and today is 💬🖼️🌡️7️⃣📅2️⃣➖1️⃣7️⃣➖2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣4️⃣.

Clunky and missing basic features
The app doesn’t remember where you’ve left off watching a film. It takes a long time to fast forward because it keeps buffering despite being in fast wifi at home. Wouldn’t recommend unless there’s a film you really want to watch not available elsewhere.
Apparently these problems have been there for several years judging from other reviews. Developers, get on it please.

It’s ok
The one plus I can say is the staff have been very helpful when I’ve had a problem, however there have been many problems. I’ve been watching a series that’s in another language and sometimes the subtitles appear and most of the time they don’t. I dislike that I can’t make a playlist to watch videos or make purchases in the app.

Reviewing the Vimeo app.🌟
I am new to Vimeo. I wanted to partake in live webinars. I use basic, it suits my needs. It was surprisingly easy to set up. I have found entering webinars with the links sent, easy so far. I haven’t tried to store the webinars on Vimeo yet. The video quality and sound for what I was watching were excellent. I am on iPhone 13 Pro. I use mobile data.🌟
