Reviews of Sports Tracker for All Sports

  • Absolutely Best Display of Data!

This program does more things right than any other. 👏 The ability to see all current statistics in real time, even calories burned is great. And the ability to mark lap times is also invaluable. The map display and path tracking are truly marvelous. The app has rescued me many times when I have become lost in thick trails and has shown me the way out, saving me from becoming a meal for hungry California mountain lions😳. The yearly and monthly calendar summaries let you know what you’ve accomplished instantly without having to dig through menus. All around a very well constructed app. I regularly test others and after using them for a day or two I have always come back to SportsTracker. Keep up the good work you engineers in Finland!👍
  • What next? “Please deposit 25 cents to begin your workout”?

It appears it’s only a matter of time. I use Sports-Tracker because I’m recovering from a mini stroke that happened almost 5 years ago as of the posting date of this review. Working out is essential to hitting the critical 5 year mark without a relapse after which your risk goes down as long as you keep up your fitness routine. Now I can’t even track my walking speed on the animated map which helped me determine if I’m maintaining an aerobic pace of at least 3 miles an hour throughout the entire walk. Just change the name to $port$Tra¢ker and get it over with.
  • Downhill Fast

Switch to Strava. Ever since moving to “pay for premium”, this app has been going downhill fast. Aside from putting your data being a paywall, they continually release “new features” which make no sense and are full of bugs. And that’s just in the free version. Considering that this is true of the features they release to the public (I.e., as incentive for you to buy premium) I can’t imagine how many of the “premium features” are just as ridiculous and buggy as these.

Strava has all the same features for free as this one does, but is actually widely respected and used. I don’t have any loyalty to this app anymore. Once they put years of my data behind a paywall and started releasing buggy features in their place, it was set for a course downhill. They haven’t course corrected since then. Waste of time to use this.
