Poor output quality?
I like the app, but the quality of the saved photos is poor. They look grainy in comparison to the originals. Not sure what's up with that.
It would be nice to have a saturation control to give you the option of black and white or color. However, since that is not currently an option, what I do is take the picture that is saved and use it as an overlay mask in one of my other photo retouching apps to get the effect I am looking for.Show lessMarkd0618
Banding
I just bought Noir, and the vignetting is junk. I made several pictures black and white with the app, and the vignettes (dark corners to a lighter center) are not a smooth transition of dark to light tone. The transition is made up of many discrete strips of tone that gets lighter going toward the center (especially noticeable where there is uniform tone, such as clear sky). This is what you sometimes see in low quality jpeg pictures. I hate to give a poor review, but this app puts out poor-looking pictures.Show lessActionRelaxin

Suprisingly very good indeed. Really helps isolate and bring out the subject. Infinitly useful on iphone pics that offer no control over depth of focus. Can turn a clutteref snapshot into something very nice indeed. Only gripe is that it is very obvious when original has very bright background.Chris909ip

Excellent intuitive app as expected from Red Giant. Crop may be handy in the future & adjustment of film shade control, possibly second vignette and square option. However there is a beauty in it's current simplicity. Its sometimes surprising which photos benefit so dramatically from this treatment. LOVE IT!Show lessGazza166
Best photo app out there!
I love this app, it is my "go-to" photo app for the iPhone. Noir captures and adds dramatic elements, allowing you to lighten, darken, and highlight the area of the photo you want emphasized.
I literally use it daily, and the photos I use it on get rave responses from who I share them with.

Superb!
This is how all photo editing should be done in the future. Very quick and intuitive as well as being very involving. Been a big fan of Magic Bullet Looks for video editing for ages. Hope to see more along the same lines.Old-Bugga
Its ok
This app is ok, but i couldnt figure out how to make my picture look like the dogs ( the ppic they have in the examples) and when i try and save it the app crashes it won't let me safe it, and the effects are very common so i would say buy something else that gives you different choiceskolorsofdye
