Get a paper everyday!
I love the C.C. Times, have been a customer for over 40 yrs. There was a time a few years ago that I would receive the paper, maybe, or not. When it rained, paper was soaked. I didn’t think I could part without having the actual paper in my hands. But….the alternative was to get it online. If it didn’t work out, I could cancel, and go back to calling the Time’s office reporting no paper that day.

I’m just so happy with Duolingo! It has allows me to practice everyday, from any device, no matter where I am. The encouragement to practice everyday, and being fun too, makes me look forward to learning French. It is excactly what I was looking for.tmambe
Easy to use and good for news
The app is easy to use. It toggles well between the page layout view and text only. East Bay Times has a lot of news that I doesn’t get reported anywhere else.sheseemsdone

The newspaper is organized like the print version. When you click an article it becomes bigger.

Annoying interface, avoid upgrading to this
Full stories frequently do not load completely in the page viewer and are cut off. Older software never had this problem.
<<,< , >,>> controls used to turn pages or sections move out when not being used, requiring users to “double punch” to make controls re-appear and then use. There is no benefit to this new feature.

Fairly good but a little clunky
For the most part, I don’t understand what the symbols mean. Perhaps you could make them clearer or use text for some of them. Or provide an index which lists the meaning of each symbol for those of us who are regular readers but not particularly adept at using the computer.

The digital edition, which looks and reads like the print paper, provides comfortable access on the iPad in either landscape or portrait mode. I can enlarge articles of interest, search, follow links and browse very easily. I do NOT miss hassle with the carrier or wet and torn paper. Great coverage - Easy to access anytime & anywhere
The stories and coverage in the east bay times are great for local, domestic and world news. I like the ease of reading from my iPhone or iPad wherever I am. The app is really easy to navigate and reporting is top notch.lnat59
