Data Corruption
The idea behind this app is awesome. I teach lifeguard courses and have just recently started using this app to record information about my students that I need to hang on to for years to come.
I love the ability to create your own forms, move things around, change them after you have already made a couple of entries and have it be active in the previous entries as well. I also love the ease of use to get this program up and running.
I have however found a glitch that I am extremely unhappy with. I was doing a test run with 15 entries and attempted to export them to a PDF format for safe keeping. When I did the export, it corrupted one of my files. Upon further tests, I was able to determine that whichever entry was currently open on the screen (highlighted if you will) was essentially changed. In my situation I had a TEST entry, It copied the information from the next entry (Andrew) and renamed the whole thing as my final entry (Yvonne). It did this with every type of file format and with any available program.
As a business app, the fact that files are being changed during any kind of export means instability to me. It is imperative that I have the ability to copy my files fully, accurately and completely without the concern that the app is going to overwrite something.

Okay, but
Forms are easy to create and enter information into, but there is just too little flexibility. You can't design backgrounds, change colors, etc. However, the biggest reason I gave it three stars, is because it doesn't do any type of calculations, so it is pretty much worthless for invoices or any other form that needs to track quantities, determine totals, etc. I wanted to create a form that I can do time studies with, so I would need to enter counts at various times and have a running total for each record. If they add the ability to do calculations, I'll gladly change my rating to five stars.Show lessJerryxxxx
Form Connect 1.4
A raft of improvements from the 1.3 version. Particularly liked the ability to import data from our main suite via csv and place into the Form Connect solution. Exporting in the various formats has allowed us to update our main Corporate system including the ability to export the photos taken via the iPad.
While I believe there are still some more nice to have features, which will come, Form Connect is a great product and has enhanced our field officers to capture data at source thus eliminating double handling and transcription errors from their traditional paper form.
There is a real buzz in the air about the capabilities of the form designer. Well done Steve.Show lessIan Wright, New Zealand

I have just launched my own consulting business and have used FormConnect to design a number of forms in order to ensure continuity and quality of information captured.
The app is really easy to use and has some great features. Designing the layout of the forms is straight forward and easy to change if you decide it needs tweaking.
A very useful tool and no, I don't work for FormConnect.

We are a small bussiness but have to hold records for 25 years this will save us hours and hours of looking through paper records. Easy form with great flexibility
I'm running a small IT professional business and have currently utilized iPads for our database. I've spent time and money trying to find a simple and easy solution for our database. Then, I stumbled on Formconnect. It is a great app with a good degree of flexibility and customization for your needs. The form is very easy to work with and it offers a good portability in terms of exporting the information to a database on a different desktop or laptop computer.
The support team, lead by Steve Hoffman has been so helpful and offered an unprecedented service.

Great app
I have a computer repair business, and so far this is a great app for creating checking and checkout form for my customers. I love the permanent lock signature feature, I would wish in the next update, I hope to see form height get longer, permanent lock each record once I export it. How about allow font attributes such as color, bold, etc. to be edited. Allow to set specific number of char per text field, allow print to all wireless printer not just airprint. And lastly, auto fillin contact info from ipad contacts database.

Works as advertised
I needed a quick app to develop a survey using several interviewers and found this app easy to use. Form development was good and I like the export features. I have not found a way to seamlessly merge multiple iPad survey data, but at least there is an export feature with CSV and XML so you can perform this merging on another computer. I do hope they expand the form widgets and ability to format text beyond text size only. It would be nice to bold or underline for example. This is a good app that can be even better if the developers put a little more energy in the next upgrade. Great app!
I love this! It was just what I was looking for. We own a bodyshop & my husband doesn't keep a computer there bc of the amount of sanding dust. Having his estimating forms on the iPad are awesome! One suggestion...is there a way to make the page a landscape oriented page? (not just view in landscape but actually have the info print/display in landscape where more info is displayed longways?) our estimate was done in landscape so two columns could fit to write parts, paint, labor etc. I'd give it 5 stars then!Show lessLukhard5
