Excellent app for beach lovers
I love the beach and think that this app is great to check to see if the water is safe to swim in. Totally worth downloading and using! Also you can upload your own photos of the beach to Panoramio which is heaps of fun!Luvjc4eva
Find the nearest beach
Other than finding the nearest beach it gives a three color system for water pollution which is up to date. It also gives historical information, but I'm deleting it because I'd like water/air conditions such as temp, wind etc. this app is best for reading about beach history, but thats about the only thing I can see over other beach apps.Show lessnumale

This app is great for learning more about your local swim beaches. I always check my favorite sites before heading to the river to see if the beaches are safe for swimming. Love it in California!
The Swim Guide is very useful, especially in areas where beaches are sometimes closed due to pollution. This is a great guide to find out about new places you've never been, and to check and see if you're favorite swimming holes are open or closed. Being able to report pollution is a great feature too. This is a great tool to help locate and learn about swimming spots in natural waterbodies throughout North America. Beat the heat, go find a great place to swim, but check the water quality and learn about water resources in the area first.sun-coast
Swim Guide is easy to use
Lots of great information about beaches all over the country and I was able to see which beaches in my area are closed due to pollution. I can even report pollution to local Waterkeeper advocates!C dog swim

I have been using this app since it launched in 2011, and each version gets better and better- version 2.20's new features are brilliant- and the corresponding website just received a facelift I see! This is the app I always use to keep me and my family informed about the state of my local water bodies and favourite beaches. I feel better knowing that my family is swimming in safe waters, and whenever I leave Vancouver and travel to Florida, New York or California, I use it regularly to check in on the state of the local waters I visit.
