I'm in Washington DC and the closest beaches it finds are 273 miles away on Lake Erie. Fail. That is with location enabled.Steve102

Nice discovery tool.
This is a sweet app for getting your beach on. My favorite part is just that it shows you all the beaches near you, so you can try a new spot. And, a huge part of choosing a spot is which ones are the cleanest. Since water quality is a big deal with surfers and fishermen, this app will come in very handy. I'm psyched to have an app that I can quickly check the water quality at my favorite California beaches without spending hours trying to find the info on a crappy govt website. Easy to use and great for when you go on vacation since it covers beaches along the entire CA coast. I'm a dad so also appreciate info provided on restrooms, playgrounds, etc.Show lessMaui Murph

This is a handy little, simple to use app to quickly check the conditions of your local beach or one you plan to be going to on vacation. It provides specific information on the water quality based on the most up to date data available and then feeds it right to your phone!
Water pollution affects most water bodies around the country especially after major storms and discharges. This was a great idea and I commend the Waterkeeper organization for developing this program and for the critical work they do protecting this countries and the worlds waterways.
