This App Rocks!
As a subscriber to Kelby Training Now giving me the ability to continue learning on my iPad is fantastic. I have wanted this for a long time. The program works fantastic. Videos play great and in full screen or via Air Play, it is fantastic. Having this App makes paying for the training even more valuable! I can't recumbent this App enough. The only negative I could come up is the App may not gave all the training the web site has but I suspect Kelby will continue to bring on all the training that is available on the web site. A great way to learn
Technically, this app has proven to be flawless for me. I use WiFi rather than cellular data, so I can't speak to that. But on the iPad the videos are large, sharp and accurate enough to make subtle changes in color or sharpness visible. I can't imagine running this app on an iPhone, but I'm sure people do it.
More importantly for me is the advantage of watching a training without being able to folow along on PhotoShop or Lightroom. I tend to learn conceptually rather than procedurally, so getting the concept without following the steps is actually a benefit. A Must App for Any Serious Photographer
I have been a member of NAPP for a number of years. Only recently I purchased a Kelby Training Subscription. I am a serious amateur and actively want to improve my knowledge and skills. Kelby training is great. The Web version works and I am thrilled with the courses available.
I was reading Scott's Blog this weekend and BAM the iphone/ipad app is out. My subscription just became 3X more valuable as I now have more opportunities to watch the training. If you have been on the fence about the subscription, this will push you over. I am a guaranteed renewal now.
A few little bugs but I know they will be corrected.
One feature I would like - the ability to download one or two course to be able to view offline. I travel a lot and I would love to view this on a plane.

Great mobile version of KT!
Kelbytraining is a great website for designers and photographers. The variety of videos is great and all the exercise files are available at no extra charge with your subscription, unlike other training sites.
I've been waiting a while for this app so I can watch videos on the go. I was even considering trying out the competitors that offered iPhone apps. This came out just in time!Show lessSpam Marino
Kelby Training needs some work
I've been a member of Kelby Training and Lynda for quite a while now. I rarely watch anything from Kelby because I don't have the patience of the skipping video. I'm not sure if the quality at Kelby is too good or what, but neither my At&t mifi nor my home DSL can play the tutorials without constantly pausing. This app is slightly better than The Kelby Training website as it occasionally seems to let the video cache while it's paused. If you hit the "back 30sec button" however, any cached video you had will disappear. The Lynda app/website unfortunately (because Lynda lacks in the photography dept) is far superior in the overall user experience.Show lessKtm-guy
Content is the best out there!!!
Great app to support even greater content. Developers took time to create this app and got it right!! The video quality is nice and AirPlay works in the first release. Although I'm having some trouble getting AirPlay video to work on my iPhone 3Gs, AirPlay works perfectly from my iPad... Maybe I need to reinstall?
Kelbytraining's content is for ANYONE, whether you are starting off or already a professional. Nothing else out there can compare. Get a subscription if you don't already have one... It'll be your one stop shop for anything media! :)

Worth the wait!!
I have been waiting for this app to come out for quite some time now and let me say this...it is perfect! Everything from the clean interface, the video quality on both the iPhone and iPad all the way to streaming to my Apple TV. I have been a subscriber for quite some time now and I have never had a dull moment with Kelby Training. They are constantly coming out with new lessons in every aspect of Photography, Photoshop, etc... If you are on the fence about downloading this app (which I don't know why because it's free for subscribers) or about a membership I challenge you not to fall in love.

Learning made easy and convenient!
I haven't tried the app yet, but I will be using it a lot for sure. I am a new member, but I never found enough time to sit down in front of my iMac at home to learn. So, I am giving this a five star just for having the app for our convenient, because I know whatever issues and problem there will be, it can be fixed. I can't wait to learn and learn! Well worth the wait!
I put the app through the paces last night and everything worked fine. The picture quality was excellent and all the controls worked great. You do have to have a subscription as the app page states but it is well worth the money. For $199, you can watch as many courses as you want all year long. This compares to a $750 fee for an 8-week graduate course I just check out. Spend the money, invest in yourself, and get the best instruction in the world.

Look, if ever a training website and an iDevice were meant for each other, it is KelbyTraining and the iPad! Subscribers (Yes, it is for subscribers to the site) have waited through some cold, dark winters for this app, and now that it is here, we couldn't be happier. And truly, you'd be happy to pay the annual subscription fee for just ONE McNally, Cuerdon, Maisel, Peterson, or Cowart course. So 5 stars all the way around ( note: don't be given 1 star reviews simply because you're cheap and expect the world to just give you stuff simply because you are a carbon based life form).
