Excellent and practical guide
This really is an excellent guide which show cases the advantages of having an ID guide in app form. The information is comprehensive, the photographs beautiful and the identification drawings both clear and usable. The ability to compare similar species is very handy and saves the old fashioned way of having to flick back and forward between pages, remembering the specific details. This would be useful for anyone wanting to get to know dragonflies as well as anyone with a more serious interest in identification. I got this for ยฃ4.99 during dragonfly week but I would at it is worth the full price.

The best yet from BirdGuides
Very impressive! Great photos/diagrams and lots of info for identifying what you find. Particularly impressed with the filtering feature, a brilliant idea for narrowing down the possibilities - could this feature be added to the Moth and Butterfly apps? If only all natural history apps were this good.
Next on my wish list would be an app for Shieldbugs and Bees please!

Dragonflies and damselflies
This is a great little app based on equally good book and shows how good an app of this sort can be.
Can't really fault it!

Fab stuff
I like it. It clearly identifies all the uk species, it's not confusing and it's informative. Great stuff.
ok, so now I'm really impressed
I thought that the butterfly app was great but this is even better. Not only are the photos spot on, but real thought has gone into the identification process so that the whole thing comes together really well. From the confusion species which slide across below the species account you are looking at, through to the neat illustrations and side by side comparisons this app is going to be a great asset in the field. I'm really impressed! Can we have ladybirds next, then bumblebees and shield bugs! Keep up the excellent work.
oh, I've got this on my i-phone - I've not got an ipad (yet).

This is one of the best BirdGuides apps yet. Well designed with great images and useful info. ID guide works well, BirdGuides should update their other apps to include this feature .
