  • Hurricane Track for IOS: Best so far

I need to keep track of tropical systems because I live in an area that's prone to them. Hurricane Track for IOS is the best app so far, and I have quite a few hurricane apps. HT allows users to view 8 different radars that show tropical system movement in a variety of colors. My favorite one is the Rainbow radar. Also, HT provides current up-to-date information.

  • Unstable

After using this app for a couple weeks I have decided that the information it provides (which is pretty good) does not outweigh the crashes, restarts, uninstalls, and reinstalls necessary to get said information.
  • Repurposed NHC info

This app just scrapes data off the National Hurricane Center's site. If you bookmark the site, you don't need this. But if you prefer an app scrapes the info for you, then this works. You may still need to go to the NHC site for the latest text updates.
  • Decent

Only let's you see Caribbean and part of US. You can only see when alerts were posted, cannot read them
  • Sweet app!! I use it several times a day

The animations are great, the projections are accurate, and the predicted formations are quit useful.
  • Weird Icons, No Text Titles?

As a Pilot who keeps his eyes on the weather - I like this Apps promises. However, I find the variety of Icons colorful but the lack titles. How am I supposed to remember which Icon gives me WHAT results? titles would be nice.

but sO would the ability to ZOOM the pictures, using typical finger Gestures, on my iphone = Result, Pictures TOO small. Cute, but TOO small for serious use.

I'll be waiting for fixes. Kiddies love it, though.

  • Thank you!

This helped a lot during hurricane Irene, it would be helpful if it showed all of the world because it said would be hit but I couldn't see.I will give it 5 stars when you do that.
  • POS

Well, it worked earlier this month, when I tested it out a couple of times. Until I needed it to track the hurricane that's actually affecting me. No track for Irene, radar stuck over a view of the south Atlantic (hurricanes move, you know), several sections simply do not open. Very aggravating.
  • Not very good

My biggest problem with it is that I can not see above south Carolina. The app also crashes when I go through the projected paths. Would be excellent I I can track weather patterns worldwide or even just in the states.
  • Slow & Crashes

I've had the app for a few months and now that the activity has increased it crashes when I first open and have to reopen and then it is so slow. Not really worth the trouble.
UPDATE: This app still is not worth the trouble. Radar doesn't go far north enough, can't keep updated with Hurricane Irene.
