Search

This ap used to be great. They took out the search feature which I used a lot! The navigation also seems a little off compared to last one. I’m not sure if it’s because the newspaper was sold and new owner uses a different IT. Just not the same. I actually emailed someone at the newspaper. This person couldn’t understand that search feature doesn’t work in app as they kept directing me to a browser and the search feature is there. And they were using internet explorer as their browser!! Too funny.

New app is not user friendly

Old app much better

Very clunky

Can’t view past issues. Can’t zoom in and view one full article at a time. Now have to go back and forth to read stories on different pages. Very inconvenient. Wish the old version was available

New electronic edition

The new electronic edition is awful because I cannot adjust the size. I really hate the way the paper seems to float.

Nothing but irritating

Piss poor,,,keeps shutting down,,,have tried to use this for past several months,,,subscription going bye bye come Monday.

Not For iPhone

This app is horrible on the iPhone. It glitches and will not scroll. The page turn buttons cover the text so that it cannot be read.

New software update not an improvement

I much prefer the previous software for the E-edition. It was easier to navigate and didn’t have back/forward buttons obscuring text. Why the change?

Update is terrible.

Why are you adding an iOS advertisement on top of the advertisements in the paper. We are subscribing with our money and we should not have these ads.

Oops. Some bugs...

There are a bunch of bugs in this version of the app. Often today's paper does not load - you just get yesterday's paper, even though the Californian has sent an email advising that the paper is "out" and ready to read. I had to sign in four times to the paper this morning, which is really frustrating when it comes up in the middle of trying to read an article. Also, many of the pages failed to load.

A Step Backwards

Can no longer swipe between different day editions. You get the wrong day and cannot get out of it.
