Inconsistent
Initially, this app worked great! Recently, it has failed to load.... I really like this method of receiving the news but I need more consistency and promptness. Can you do a bit better p,ease?
E-Edition not always available
Have not been very happy this err, with the e-edition. It will not download sometimes until I try for about 1/2hour and today it is not working at all. Used to be right on time. Now it's difficult to get to or read and on the weekends there is no one to help after 10:30 am. Very frustration when I want to read my paper

E-Edition Review for iPad
I really like being able to read the paper on my iPad, but there is no information on the site as to when it becomes available in the morning. I don't know it it becomes available at a specific time or simply whenever they finally get it to the server. It would be nice to know so that I don't waste time trying to download the paper before it is available. I've also had intermittent success simply downloading the paper. There are several issues that I've been unable to download and others that don't download until later in the day long after I have time to read the edition. Today after several attempts to download the paper I called and was told that they were not sure what the problem was but that they had received several calls. All of my questions were bruskly put off until someone that knew what was going on could call me back next week. Disappointing.

Why?
If I don't buy the paper, why wold I pay for this?? The news channels have poor apps but they are free...

I love reading the paper every morning in my iPad.
No longer free!
Very upset. Will definitely not pay for a subscription when there are other local Bakersfield news apps that have more features, like video!
E-edition
This is a great upgrade from the original e-edition and I give it the full five stars. I would love to see three enhancements down the road that would make it a ten star app.
First a button to change from the landscape to the portrait views and hold it there. Secondly, an ability to share comments on particular stories and finally the ability to post letters to the editor (not for public viewing) as a direct link to that section. It would also be great if we could make links to particular stories on social networking sites. it would also be great if those of us who subscribe only have to log in once to read our morning paper per subscription... Oh, my wife says she needs a way to print coupons too.

Awesome app to stay in the know on Bakersfield happenings
Nothing beats being able to read the paper through the comfort of the iPad. Takes about a minute to load complete paper but the UI is super friendly and I like that it allows you to zoom. I also like that the app downloads the way the paper looks like. Will use it regularly!
Great App!!
This is a great way to keep in the loop with Bakersfield news when I'm traveling and on the go. Excellent app and great alternative to paper copy for the new iPad generation. Highly recommend and hope the price is reasonable when free trial is over.
