The App has been excellent in enabling me to support my customers on the move. I would be lost without it.

Great

One of the best remote supporting apps I’ve ever used!

Keyboard

Bomgar IPAD app helps me with fast access to what I need. My typical use is JumpClients and this version works very well with one new exception. I use an external BluTooth keyboard with the IPAD. With the previous version I was able to touch the keyboard symbol in the app and it would allow my external keyboard to be used without issue. Now, with this version, touching the keyboard symbol shrinks the viewable window in half and brings up an empty space where the keyboard would normally be. However since the IPAD is smart enough to know that I have an external keyboard it has nothing in that space unless I press the keyboard symbol on my external keyboard that then fills the empty space with the on-screen keyboard. Clearly this is a bug. The old version worked great and I'm sure the future version should work as well. I just hope Bomgar see's the bug and fixes it quickly as this version is next to unusable for me now. The only way I can type is using the on-board keyboard with a half height window. Be aware if you use an external keyboard.

Almost there but not quite

There is a bug with the onscreen keyboard where it misses a lot of characters. Very difficult to type which renders the utility almost useless. Also you can't move the screen around so that you can see what your typing.

Mostly works

My company is using Bomgar for remote support of clients and this app supports that specific need when I am away from a computer but have my iPad with me. For the most part this app works quite well. However, there are a few issues with the keyboard interaction. On my external keyboard, I generally have to click the keyboard icon in the app to activate it. Most, if not all, of the special keys act like the delete key so I cannot tab through fields or use the arrows. I'm still unsure how to use the right mouse button on purpose, I have found it by accident a couple of times, though, so I think there is a way to do it.

Bomgar Support Anytime, Anywhere with your iPad

Put one in the "Win" column for Bomgar. Being able to perform support services on the fly from an iPad was high on the priority list for me. And this first release has proven to be exceptionally well designed. The interaction with remote clients via keyboard and mouse works more intuitively than other excellent remote access product like Wyse PocketCloud, another of my favorites.

If your company is using Bomgar for remote support, or deciding to, this iPad app is a great enhancement.

Two drawbacks, understandable in a first release where they got everything else right, are that you can't see your jump client GROUPs, and that the keyboard mapping is incorrect when logging into jump client servers in landscape mode. Oddly, the keyboard works fine in portrait mode. Rebooting the iPad fixed it for a few jumps, but the issue returned.

Keep up the good work Bomgar! Love it!

Good initial release

The IPad rep console works well with a couple of usability issues.

The number one issue is that the jump clients aren't shown with comments. In our organization all computer names are the system's service tag and without the comments there's no way for us to identify systems.

In addition, it would be great to not have to move the mouse with your finger. This slows things down considerable. I would rather be able to click on the item I wanted and have the mouse move automatically.

Lastly, when inputing data, if the input field is in the lower half of the screen the keyboard covers it up so you can't see your input or what's next.

I am extremely happy to have the console available on the IPad and am sure this app will only improve over time.

Support just got a little more mobile

Inevat technicians have been using the Bomgar solution fmany ears and never looked back. When looking into making our technicians more mobile we saw the iPad as the way to do it. Only problem we had, there wasn't a company with an attractive enough solution to allow us support our wide array of customers remotely.

With the Bomgar iPad Rep console, Bomgar has once again shown us that they are the company to work with moving forward. If you are looking for a SECURE, CONVENIENT, and MANAGED support solution, don't look any further.

As for a the iPad console specifically there are some big benefits but also some functionality challenges.

---BENEFITS---
Access any of your pinned jump clients securely
Show on the public representative list and accept sessions by having clients just click your name.
Accept clients based on queue
Transfer and share sessions with other representatives.
Pin and unpin clients
Deploy Bomgar buttons
Multiple screen viewing

---LIMITATIONS---
No way to to move a pinned client to another queue
Not dos/terminal access
No file transfer
Drag and drop is not currently working for us (Bug)
There are a few issues at times pinning clients (Bug)

All in all this is a great initial release. I look forward to seeing bug fixes and additional functionality added.

Good start for version 1.0

I've been waiting for this app ever since the iPad was released. It's an invaluable tool for our techs. it makes much easier to get access to our clients computers. It works well for a 1.0 release.

The Good
1. Interface is very intuitive
2. The app is stable
3. The screen sharing is works well.

The Bad.
1. The keyboard when screen sharing is the worst part of the app. It lacks the usability of the keyboard of many other screen sharing apps. When activated the keyboard covers half of the screen and you can't move the screen. If you are typing somewhere on the bottom half of the screen you can't see what you are typing. Allowing users to move around the screen when keyboard was would resolve this problem. Add the functionality of the keyboard from VNC viewer and it would resolve this problem.

Features to Add
1. groups and comments are missing from jump clients
2. The ability to run command shell sessions is missing

No Jumpoint access

Cannot access jumpoints or my clients domain computers since there is no list for Jumpoints like on the desktop client. This is a huge failure since I forked over $400 for the B100 annual support so I could get the latest firmware to run the iPad client. I have never really been happy with Bomgars products and support model. It's sneaky. Logmein may be more money but just and you can cancel at anytime
