  • Its Pretty Good...

    I mean, at the beginning I pranked my dad by keep on turning up the volume and it was hilarious! But, I tried to change the channels on a different TV, and it kept on saying 'This function is only available when the TV is selected as the source'. The only thing that really worked was the volume and that's about it but I think. I recommend another app. And I forgot to mention, there were so many adds keep on popping up. There's more I will want to say, but I don't want to wast your battery. 👎🏻😳

  • works pretty good almost perfect

    i have 2 samsung tvs the ks8000 an js7000 an a couple 4k players an soundbar. tifi works on all of them. so far the j, k an m series remote tifi versions work on my stuff. the only downside i have is u cant Turn On the TV with the app directly. u still have to use your tv remote, comcast , or power button on the tv first. other than turning on the power the app is ver good if you lost a remote, cant find a pair of double AA batteries, or just feel creative changing the channel to game of thrones

    Used the free version for a while. Recently around Black Friday there was a special offer to buy. Since then it constantly was popping up asking to buy it and took 3 screens to stop it asking.

    Just bought it this very moment to stop it bl00dy asking me multiple times every time I launch it. Happy now?

    Thank you for using myTifi and becoming a Premium user. We can't deny that we aim for Premium users, but we agree that the popup behaviour was a bit too much. We have improved this in today's update (version 7.11.0) by showing it less frequent.

    Thank you ever so much for this app. You have no idea how useful it is. My TV is in a terrible location. Without this app it would be almost unusable as the remote and its recognition are very difficult to get to work together. But this app changed all that. Thank you. Works perfectly all the time.
  • Only app that works

    I have tried many remote apps and non have worked, I mean you download the app and it doesn’t even open. This app is so great, I have been using it for only 5 minutes and it’s the only one that works with my Samsung. My remote just broke and I’m so happy I found this!!!!
  • Promising need refinement

    On my TV remote I can hold down the change volume or change channel button and it will accelerate to change volume/channel quickly. This app does it 1 channel/volume at a time which makes it unusable compared to my normal tv remote. Fix it and I’ll pay.

    You can also keep the buttons pressed in myTifi. And on the Smart tab, keep your finger on the screen after a horizontal (channel) or vertical (volume) swipe. Another recommended feature (which is not on your normal remote) is macros. On the Smart tab you can easily record a sequence of commands, for example 10 times Volume down. You can replay this sequence anytime you want with a single button, for example during commercial breaks. Of course you can make a second macro to increase the volume 10 times, for after the break.

    Old review: Great app but still no native 6 Plus resolution? Yikes. There is also a minor inconvenience of "prompts" popping up when 2 Samsung TV's operate on the same network but it's not a huge deal.
    Any chance you guys can integrate Apple Watch support in a future update? Thanks

  • Problem fixed. Works fine now.

    It worked once but not a few days later. It refused to ‘find’ my Samsung TV that it had easily found when I installed it. Nothing had changed. Same TV. Same iPad. No result.

    LATER: The developer got in touch so I gave it another try. It now works. It’s a great app. Very handy.

    UPDATE: So good to hear that it is solved now. I'm sorry that you have problems to control your TV. What often helps is to reset your router. Simply unplug the power cord, wait 1 minute and reconnect the power cord. Please let me know if this helps. If the problem persists, can you please send us an email directly?     I do use this app quite often and I had it for
    few years with absolutely no issues.
    Very useful when I can’t find my tv’s remote which is very common,but I always have my phone with me.
    Some times I’m upstairs and don’t want to go back downstairs to turn my tv off so this app save me a journey😏😁👌

  • MyTifi is Subzero Cool! Haptics Terrific!👍

    What a gem! My new goto app! There is nothing I don’t like about this app. The What’s not to like? Serves my needs well. I may need to contact Support to remove a bad IP address scanned from an incompatible TV so when MyTifi launches it only reconnects to a valid IP address for a compatible TV, though.

    Suggested Enhancement: Enable Haptics by default unless doing that would degrade software or hardware performance of iPhones EARLIER than iPhone 7 running the current version of iOS. Even if this is not done, MyTifi is top notch!
