A Definite PLUS
I have been using this VPN globally now for about one year from almost every continent. It works 99% perfectly and enables my computer to be "seen" as if it were in the USA so that I can access some sites that are region sensitive. That makes it easier to safely exchange my data with clients.
The VPN picks the most available link, but I really like being able to adjust and move connections to another site and keep from always landing in the same country on a business trip.

Worth every Penny
I abused this software for YEARS, using it in places most people never would ever think of ging to, in places where internet was just about as slow and clunky as early AOL days, and where I know the government wants to listen in and read everybodies calls and emails. Ty, the author, has made this software work for me. I stressed it and broke, it, and he fixed it quickly. Loyal user. It is NOT perfect, no software is. But it works like a charm, in places where other VPN services will never work, and for that, I am grateful!Show lessLeeZe2011

Not enough servers & slow
Netshade has lost its use for me, despite a fully paid annual subscription for they proxy server: The country list has shrunk to a drizzle. Germany is suddenly gone, which was my main reason for using Netshade. Eecent slowness was also noted and useless for streaming. Pretty lame over all.nadworks
Big Changes !!!
I just got an e-mail from them.
"After 2015-09-29 you will no longer be able to connect to the NetShade Proxy servers. You will still be able to access the public proxies via the NetShade application”. Why and what good are the public proxies? Why the change? Not happy.

Just what it says it'll do
VPN is notoriously hard, but this was a pretty painless setup — follow the prompts and it automatically installs all the complicated bits for you; flip a switch and it works. I use it for security on public wifi networks; my connection to major services like gmail and news sites is actually *faster* thru the VPN pipe than over coffee shops' / hotels' own DNS. Go figure.
