  • Atmospheric

Excellent physics modelling and art design. The game is like a cross between 'cut the rope' and 'world of goo' but with more atmospheric gameplay. The beautiful piano score is immediately reminiscent of Yann Tierson's music for Amelie Poulain - in fact I thought it was him for a minute!

My only criticism so far is that the music needs more variety - while beautiful, it can get a little repetitive after a while of looping round and round. Less is more etc...

  • Original

It's a very well executed physics puzzle game that is different enough to be original. You can probably finish the game in an hour or two if you try for perfect (at least world 1 took me a bit more than half an hour on perfect) but given the low price it's still good value. Haven't tried it on my kids yet but no doubt they'll love it as well.

  • The perfect iOS game

Inspired by "Le Petit Prince", Contre Jour perfectly embodies the expression "more than the sum of its parts". Yes, it is beautiful. Yes, it is vaguely reminiscent of some other games. But rather than being a copycat it takes all the best touch screen mechanics from the best iOS games and merge them with the evocative art style of world of goo to create something wholly original.

The beauty is only the beginning. It's really the perfect iOS puzzle game. Whoever said Nintendo was right to be scared was right on the money.

  • A game that is crafted to almost perfection!!

This game is an absolute joy to play, the creators have managed to capture the minds of little ones and.....big ones alike!! Everything is polished from the piano playing lullabies to the well designed backgrounds right down to the cuteness of the character you play. Its the little details that make all the difference. I do hope they continue to add even more levels in the future as I am well and truly satisfied customer!!

  • Short & Easy

Great gameplay and beautiful design. The game is very short however. Completed the whole game in one sitting. Only about an hour to complete all levels with three stars. Considering that there is a good ammount of levels in this game they are obviously too easy. Most levels are so staight forward that you perform them without thinking at all. The more challenging ones takes up to half a minute to figure out, with only one level hard enough to to be called a puzzle.

I really hope that the promissed new levels will be more of a challenge. Still I warmly recommend this game for a younger crowd or for non-gamers to bring when traveling.

  • Great style

This game has the style of a few games rolled into one. The mono colour theme suits the relaxing music and gameplay. It's good to see these games being produced. A true collectors game. When finished do not delete. iPad version a classic. Try limbo for the xbox it's alot like this in style.
  • Great, but lacks originality

Good game but the music seems ripped from the film Amelie, the game genre is a mix of World of Goo, Bumpy Road and Rolando. Go get it.
