  • Does the trick!

Does what is promised and described above: allows you to use Bluetooth for phone and you dock for music. Works great in my car and is seamless.
  • Nicely done!

Like most Americans my second home is my car. It sports a coffee mug holder, a place for the occasional cigar and, most importantly, music. On occasion my office, family or friends will call and when they do the State if Illinois dictates I use my hands-free feature. Just some of the conveniences you come to expect while making the driving experience safe and tolerable. But not all is well in paradise. My iPhone is a party crasher. Why? Because the Bluetooth doesn't behave!

The problem is the iPhone doesn't let go of the audio after it us paired with the car and my iPhone is docked. No music! There is a way around the problem, which I've been doing for years, involves a ritual of docking the phone, turning on the car, waiting for the pairing, etc. If I get it wrong and I'm on the road, OMG, it's a prescription for a car accident. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of hands-free. "That's right, you Honor, my car accident is Apple's fault for holding onto the audio stream."

So the only thing I'd like to see this app do is run in the background. My wife reminds that while driving I shouldn't be looking at the phone anyway. It's a kind of app lock for drivers. A safety feature? Who would have thought.

So here's a first for me: I want to thank the people who wrote this app. My family thanks you for keeping me off the phone. The Geico gecko thanks you. My dog thanks you because his nose isn't plastered on the windshield. Seriously, well done. Thanks!

  • Turn off bluetooth audio!

There is no way to shut off bluetooth audio when the iphone connects via bluetooth... even if the dock connector is attached! this fixes this issue.

This has been an issue since I got my 2010 VW Golf TDI. You plug in your iphone and the stereo shows the song data, and music is playing, then all of a sudden... it stops! The data keeps showing, but no sound! This is because the iphone switched over to bluetooth audio streaming when the bluetooth phone connection hooked up.

In order to switch it back to the dock connector, you had to go to the ipod app, and choose dock connector. Very annoying.

This app turns off bluetooth audio.

So I can plug in the phone, and the music plays through the dock connector but the telephone features go through the dock connector.

Problem solved! Why anyone would want t o listen to horrible bluetooth audio is beyond me!

  • Works as advertised!

This issue was driving me insane with my new alpine head unit, when I discovered the iPhone was connecting with bluetooth audio this app came to the rescue! Eagerly awaiting the new version that works in the background and I'll up my rating to 5 stars, good work!
  • Works Perfectly

My iPhone switching to BlueTooth Audio was irritating, especially as my car audio dock is in the centre armrest. Although you can wait for BlueTooth to connect before docking this is irritating too and, if you stop the car for some reason, you have to start all over again...

Looking forward to the background update but suggest you get this now to make your life simpler.
