  • Do not buy the upgrade

I purchased the upgrade and nothing works. Waste of money. I am not the only one with this problem either.
  • Paid upgrades needing to be re uploaded.

I now know that some of the upgrades are not sourced from the same area, I have purchased them all, so if I clear memory or website data they are deleted also, and have to be reloaded, science and medical, it’s not the end of the world but a bit annoying.
  • Excellent

Yes, it's an excellent dictionary, I use it daily and have for years. Since I now have an iPad, I'm switching to to their appropriate app.
  • Upgrade this one

Even though this a working progress, this one needs the same function as upgrade one. But please make sure to add auto rotation function to it as well

  • Does not render correctly on iPad Pro

This app has not received an update in over a year. I suspect the developers haven’t even looked at it since then. Go to Home, pick a random article, and see that HTML is not rendered properly. The text has JavaScript and random markup sprinkled throughout and no line breaks and no formatting of any kind. Test your apps before posting them to the AppStore.

  • Great Dictionary — Horrible App

It appears that this app has not been updated in years. I paid for this app years ago when it was still being updated, but on my 2020 iPad Pro, the app itself does not fit the aspect ratio of my screen. That means it’s blurry and doesn’t even expand to the full width of my screen. I get the app in the middle with two black bars on the sides. This is a great dictionary with a huge number of resources, but I expected the app to continue to be updated since I paid for it. If they had discontinued the app, I would understand — but they still sell it on the app store. That means people are buying an app that is already well outdated. I would love to see a refresh to this app similar to what they did for the iPhone app, especially if it is to stay on the app store for any considerable amount of time. It seems silly that the iPad app could be so ignored when there is a shiny new iPhone app.

  • Good dictionary.

I just hope you guys would love to build up on this dictionary by updating this with new words. Btw, this is good enough for me.
  • Forget Prescriptivists or Descriptivists get Activists here

Now they are beginning to tell you what words should mean based on political bias. Deleted app. No thank you!
  • Would be 5 star if multitasking compatible.

It would be really useful if you provide the multitasking feature in iPad.
  • No External Keyboard Support

It is extremely frustrating that there have been no serious efforts to address those of us who use external keyboards. Seriously?

But then again, I guess when an app’s “about” section shows a copyright two years out of date, one shouldn’t expect much from their developers.

Overall I love the functionality of the app. As someone who writes on their iPad, the program is useful. As someone who uses an external keyboard, the lack of keyboard commands is inexcusable. Using the app slows me down and forces me to take my hands off my keyboard. And that’s a deal breaker.

    Meh.
