Clean up Google Contacts
Because Google Contacts cannot be readily shared, once every five years, I merge iCloud contacts with Google ones on two accounts, eliminate duplicates on Google accounts, merge the two combined Google accounts, eliminate duplicates, clean it up by hand, export clean cvs file, upload it to second account. In the end, I prefer iCloud contacts empty and two Google contacts match, at least temporarily. This Contacts Synch app makes the first step, merging iCloud with Google, trivial. I wonder if one of the more advanced apps would help further.Show lessMike Iad

This app took a thorn out of my side. I spent at least 25 hours over 3 days trying to transfer my 1,800 contacts from Google over to iCloud. (Google Contacts is just not a good match with the contacts app on iPhone, but that is a long story.) This app worked perfectly for the first 40 free contacts. I then immediately bought a lifetime subscription. The app proceeded to transfer the remaining contacts perfectly with the Google labels correctly transferred into iCloud lists. This is huge for me.
One thing, the app said there were duplicate contacts, but Google could not find any. And I am not manually going through 1,800 contacts. A feature that merges the found duplicates would be convenient, but leave that feature out if that would cause bugs.Show lessReal Jake McCoy

Sometimes you just need an app to do one thing well. In the case of Contacts Sync, the name says it all. It seamlessly updates all the contact changes you’ve made on any device and makes sure all your other devices have the same info. For reasons I can’t fathom iCloud does a pretty poor job of this.
My only complaint is that although I have it set for auto-sync, it will sometimes stop syncing for no reason I can discern (and, yes, I’m aware it needs to be running as a background app in order for the sync to take place). Sometimes I don’t notice the syncing has stopped until I go try to find a contact that I *know* I put in, and it is missing from one of my devices. To be fair, Contact Sync will notify you when auto-sync has not occurred for a while, but I still don’t understand why it stops in the first place.
Other than that little nit-picky thing, I really love the app and have come to rely on it.Show lessHO Fan KC

For years I have struggled to find an optimal solution to sync contacts, and I now have it. Not too cold, not too hot, just right. Doesn't try to do anything fancy, doesn't force you to use their app as the main contact manager, doesn't try to integrate/automate everything, doesn't go crazy with social media, no feature bloat. Syncs your phone contacts with gmail, that's it. Tells you exactly what it's about to change, let's you review it, then updates it quickly. It's great. Please keep it simple. The one ding? The app logo is not the most handsome.Show lesshugehead75

Contacts sync has saved me enormous amounts of time. Originally I used it to keep my iPhone contacts synchronized with my Google contacts so that I could continue to use groups. More recently, they have added the ability to synchronize between two Google accounts, and I have been using it to keep my business and personal contacts synchronized (limiting that synchronization to just the two or three Gmail labels that I want to keep in both sets of contacts). Does what it claims, and does it well. If you’d like your contacts to be synced between these two google accounts or between iCloud and google, this will do the trick. I’ve honestly found it really fun to consolidate all my info this way. Developer is easy to get in touch with and is interested in feedback. Really appreciate the option to buy lifetime piece deal for pretty cheap ($8). Sister app A2Z contacts is also a now my go-to contact app, and is only $2 for life. I know that many phone services use the Cloud to backup contacts but then you run into the problem needing to buy more Cloud storage to accommodate pictures, videos, or larger files along with your contacts. I found this app that also syncs my email with my contacts so I can make sure to find the information wherever I want to look. I had to replace my phone and once I got the new phone I downloaded the app and re-synced my phone with all my groups and contact information in just a few seconds. Great app!Show lessLily12466789

I use iCloud as my primary contacts, but because I use Google Voice (for calling/texts), it is important to keep my iCloud contacts copied into Google Contacts, so they show up in Google Voice.
I had been manually exporting them, but Google Contacts chokes if you (after experimenting) you try to upload more than 99 contacts at a time.
So wrote a script to break them into groups of 99 contacts (I have thousands of them) and manually importing them into Google Contacts. That is dozens of imports I need to do, and I need to do this monthly or more often as needed. This takes quite a bit of work, even after writing the script to break up the contacts.
I installed Contacts Sync, set up the two accounts, made it one way iCloud -> Google Contacts, and told it to sync.
It took just a couple of minutes, and was so easy. I verified it worked, and it even copied over the contact pictures (something I lacked before).
So if you have a need like this, know that this solution works and is very very easy 😎

I rarely pay for apps or write reviews, but this app has been great. At work I use Google suite and I use Gmail for my personal contacts. I was previously exporting and importing files to and from my personal and work accounts, and then eliminating duplicates in Google contacts. This was very time consuming. In spite of the fact both accounts are Google accounts and I was using Google tools, this worked very poorly. Names would often get moved to a different field, etc. since starting to use this app, the process is nearly seamless. Since I have well over 1000 contacts, I bought the paid version. I appreciated the option to buy once instead of using a subscription. Otherwise, I probably would not have bought a subscription and would have missed out on this great productShow lessjustmeinmissouri

I’ve used this app for a number of years for iPhone and iPad with gmail contacts and appreciate the labels. Works well, great support , and yes it is a bit complex syncing multiple devices. You have to slow down and think what you’re doing, if you’re doing a manual sync in between or immediately want to update another device. 😊 Highly recommend.Show lessGottabealive
